Guangdong Country Garden School (GCGS) was founded in 1994; it is a leading international boarding school, which offers education for K-12 students. There are more than 4,800 students and 700 faculty members including approximately 100 international teachers. The school is the flagship school of Bright Scholar Education Group. The school has been one of the three executive committee members of Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) in Southern China since 2015. In 2016, GCGS became the first cooperative partner in Southern China for CAIE. GCGS is also a CIS member school. The school conducts in-depth research on the integration of international programs and Chinese national curriculum. The project of “The Bay Area Research on the Integration of National and International Curricula Based on Developing Core Competencies of Chinese Students” was established in the Basic Curriculum and Textbook Development Center of the Ministry of Education and the Curriculum and Textbook Research Institute.
