QSI International School of Dongguan (QSID) is a non-profit, English-medium international day school in the Dongcheng district of Dongguan, in Guangdong's Greater Bay Area, and part of the Quality Schools International network. It was founded in August 2004 at the request of expatriate families and international companies in this manufacturing city between Guangzhou and Shenzhen, and after several moves it now occupies a purpose-built campus opposite Liuhua Park, close to a metro stop. The school serves expatriate, diplomatic and globally mobile families with children from the 2-year-old preschool class to Secondary IV graduation (age 18). It reports more than 200 students from over 24 nationalities, with sizeable Hong Kong, Korean, Taiwanese, American and Brazilian groups, and recruits certified English-speaking teachers from the USA, Canada, the UK and Australia. The curriculum follows a North American model aligned with the US Common Core standards and is delivered through QSI's mastery-learning approach, in which each unit must be mastered before moving on, while seven Success Orientations shape character. QSID is accredited by the Middle States Association (MSA), is a College Board member offering Advanced Placement courses and on-site SAT and ACT testing, and complements academics with daily Chinese, Intensive English and an active athletics programme.

QSID groups classes by age rather than US grade names. Preschool (2-, 3- and 4-year-old classes) offers half-day or full-day options with an American-style, play-based programme; children must be toilet trained and reach the class age by 31 October. Elementary covers the 5- to 10-year-old classes, middle school the 11- to 13-year-olds, and the secondary programme runs from Secondary I to IV (ages 14 to 18). Students join a homeroom by age but can move up or down in mathematics and literacy.

English is the language of instruction, and children whose English is still developing join an Intensive English programme with smaller groups, monitored with tools such as STAR, Fountas & Pinnell and MAP. Triton Athletics offers teams for boys and girls aged 11 to 18: middle school soccer, badminton, volleyball and basketball, and secondary volleyball, tennis, basketball, badminton and soccer. Teams compete in the Pearl River Conference of Guangdong international schools and in the Dongguan Conference, which QSID helped found. Younger pupils have tried drama, dance, violin, volleyball, soccer, basketball, geocaching, baking, art and science clubs; middle schoolers can join dance, robotics and chess; and older students take part in Student Council, Model UN, Beta Club, National Honor Society, yearbook, maths, chess and gaming clubs.

The Dongcheng campus has 48 classrooms, dedicated early-childhood buildings, science and computer labs, a modern library with a Maker Space, and art, music and drama rooms.
