Cayman International School (CIS) is a private, non-profit, university-preparatory and co-educational day school in Camana Bay, on Grand Cayman, serving students from age two (Pre-K2) to Grade 12. It opened in 1994 as Faulkner Academy, was acquired by International Schools Services (ISS) in 2002 and took its current name in 2003; ISS, a non-profit organisation based in Princeton, New Jersey, still governs the school. The campus at Camana Bay, opened in 2006 with support from the Dart family foundations, has since been expanded with an early childhood centre in 2019 and a new high school building in 2021. Today CIS has around 950 students from more than 40 nationalities and an average class size of about 17. The programme combines American and international standards, including the Common Core, with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in the last two years, and graduates go on to universities in North America, the United Kingdom and Europe. CIS is accredited by the Middle States Association, is an IB World School, belongs to Round Square, AMISA and the Common Ground Collaborative, and in 2025 earned the National Certificate for STEM Excellence.
