Located inside Downsview Park at 75 Carl Hall Road in North York, Toronto, Blyth Academy Downsview Park is an independent school about five minutes from Downsview Park subway station. It is one of five in-person campuses run by Blyth Academy, an Ontario network whose history goes back to 1977 and which has belonged to the Globeducate group since 2018. The campus enrols around 100 students from Grade 4 to Grade 12 and is designed around elite sport: the school says about 85% of its students are athletes. Its hockey programme, open from Grade 4, is run by a director of hockey operations with instructors who coach NHL, OHL, junior and AAA players, uses the rinks at Scotiabank Pond and is backed by an on-site fitness centre for off-ice work. A soccer programme was created in partnership with Toronto FC Academy, and every week students do strength and conditioning with trainer Matt Nichol's team. Academically, the campus follows the Ontario curriculum towards the Ontario Secondary School Diploma, with classes of about 12 and a four-term quadmester calendar that adapts to training and competition schedules. An elementary programme for Grades 4 to 8 builds sport into the school day.
