The Downtown Campus is one of three campuses of Rowntree Montessori Schools, an independent school in Brampton, Ontario, and caters for children from Pre-Kindergarten (age 3) to Grade 3 in a small, cosy setting. Rowntree was founded in 1969 with 13 pupils in a Bramalea church basement and opened this campus in 1993; it joined the International Schools Partnership in 2020 and today teaches more than 485 students across its three sites. Lessons follow the Ontario Curriculum enriched with Montessori-inspired methods and materials: young children learn through hands-on discovery and practical life skills, then move into structured bookwork with an accelerated maths programme that keeps many of them a year ahead of provincial expectations. Specialist teachers lead French, music, art, physical education and computers and coding, and progress is tracked with MAP Growth testing twice a year. After Grade 3, pupils can continue to Grade 8 at Rowntree's Academy Campus. The school is accredited by the Ontario Federation of Independent Schools and has been named best private school in Brampton in the Top Choice Awards for more than 15 consecutive years.

The Downtown Campus covers Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 3. Children aged 3 to 5 move through three Kindergarten stages: Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten Montessori and the accelerated Prep-ONE year, where Montessori materials are combined with Ontario Curriculum bookwork. In Grades 1 to 3 the enriched Ontario Curriculum continues with smaller classes and specialist teachers, before pupils move to the Academy Campus for Grades 4 to 8.
