The Academy Campus is the largest of the three campuses of Rowntree Montessori Schools, an independent school in Brampton, Ontario, and the only one that runs from Kindergarten all the way to Grade 8. Rowntree was founded in 1969, when it opened with 13 pupils in a church basement in Bramalea; the Academy Campus, near Bovaird Drive and Highway 10, opened in 2002 with a full gymnasium and stage. The school, which joined the International Schools Partnership in 2020, enrols more than 485 students across its campuses. Teaching follows the Ontario Curriculum enriched with Montessori-inspired methods and materials, with smaller classes, twice-yearly MAP Growth testing and an accelerated maths programme that keeps many pupils a year ahead of provincial expectations. French is taught by specialist teachers at every grade, and specialists also lead physical education, art, music and computers and coding. Older students prepare for competitive high schools through leadership roles, public speaking, competitions and career guidance. Rowntree is accredited by the Ontario Federation of Independent Schools and has received the Top Choice Award for best private school in Brampton for more than 15 consecutive years.

The Academy Campus covers Kindergarten to Grade 8. The Kindergarten years combine Ontario Curriculum bookwork with Montessori materials, ending with the accelerated Prep-ONE year. Middle School (Grades 6 to 8) offers an enriched, inquiry-based programme that prepares students for high school entry.

Rowntree offers a wide programme of clubs and sports, many of them aimed at the upper grades taught on this campus: basketball, soccer, volleyball, floor hockey, cross-country and track and field, with competitions through the Small Schools Athletic Federation. Club options include band, choir, dance, drama, debate, chess, coding, robotics and LEGO, a filmmakers club, a special effects club, a jewellery club and the yearbook. Students in Grades 7 and 8 attend a leadership camp, and pupils join house league events, academic competitions and ISP international programmes.

Families can use a door-to-door bus service run with a transport partner, with routes serving this campus, and flexible before- and after-school care until 6pm with supervised homework time. Students wear a compulsory uniform. The Academy Campus has a full-size gymnasium with a stage, used for physical education, team sports and school performances, as well as playgrounds with age-appropriate equipment and green outdoor areas used for lessons and free play. It is the only Rowntree campus with an outdoor basketball court. Classrooms are prepared with Montessori materials and equipped with interactive boards, and students from Grade 3 upwards work with Chromebooks; younger pupils are introduced to coding and robotics with classroom robots.
