Lyford Cay International School (LCIS) is a non-profit independent school in Nassau, The Bahamas, founded in 1962 and an authorised IB World School since 2004. It is the only school in The Bahamas - and one of approximately 93 worldwide - authorised to deliver the full International Baccalaureate continuum: the Primary Years, Middle Years, Diploma and Career-related Programmes. LCIS educates students from 18 months through Grade 12 across two purpose-built campuses totalling 24.5 acres inside the gated Lyford Cay community of western New Providence. The school reports a 1:7 teacher-student ratio, with 64% of its faculty holding master's or doctoral degrees, and a community of around 375 students from more than 45 nationalities speaking 14 languages. As a registered Bahamian non-profit governed by a volunteer board, 100% of tuition is reinvested in teaching and learning, and the school offers financial aid and scholarships to families who demonstrate need. LCIS is accredited by the International Baccalaureate Organization, the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), and is a member of Round Square, an authorised Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Centre and an Eco-Schools Green Flag holder.

LCIS delivers all four International Baccalaureate programmes - the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP) and the Career-related Programme (CP), the only CP offered in The Bahamas - across its Lower and Upper Schools, from 18 months of age through Grade 12. Learning is inquiry-based throughout, with bilingual and multilingual pathways from the primary years and university-level research through the Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge.
