AMSTERDAM, 20 October 2026. The British School of Amsterdam will open its Senior School to prospective parents on Thursday 5 November, from 5:30pm to 7pm, at its building on Havenstraat 6. The evening is aimed at families interested in the school's provision for students aged 11 to 18.
The event will show how the Senior School's curriculum, community and dedicated university guidance prepare students for their next steps. It is intended for prospective parents, who will be able to see the setting where older students are taught and put their questions to the school.
The Senior School covers ages 11 to 18 and follows the British curriculum, which leads to GCSE and A Level qualifications. Alongside lessons, students take part in an enrichment programme, a house system, creative arts and sport, and the school places particular weight on preparing students for universities around the world.
Parents who cannot make the date can also arrange a visit to see the school building on another day, and the school offers an online meeting for families who are unable to visit in person.

About The British School of Amsterdam
The British School of Amsterdam has grown from a small primary school, founded by parents, into a through-school for ages 3 to 18, with a Junior School for ages 6 to 11 and a Senior School for ages 11 to 18. The school community comes together at its historic Havenstraat building, a national monument that now houses modern facilities.
The school is accredited by BSO, AoBSO, COBIS and HMC. Its values are nurture, inspire and empower, and its strategy focuses on three priorities: academic achievement, student welfare and extra-curricular activities.
