ALICANTE, 17 October 2026. Lady Elizabeth School has published the university destinations of its Class of 2026, with students securing places at Imperial College London, Warwick, Edinburgh, Glasgow, King's College London and Bath, as well as at leading Spanish universities, the Alicante school announced on 6 October.
In Spain, members of the year group have secured places at IE Universidad, ICADE, Universidad Carlos III, Universidad de Sevilla and Universidad Complutense de Madrid. The school also reports that its destinations are widening geographically: two students are heading to Japan, including Tokyo International University and Yamanashi, and one has secured a sports scholarship to Alfred University in New York State, in the United States.
The school also published figures for the previous year. In 2025, 55% of graduates chose universities in Spain, 19% in the UK and 13% in the Netherlands, with courses ranging from Molecular Genetics and Business at King's College London and Biomedical Sciences in Madrid to Business & Artificial Intelligence at ESADE, Neuroscience at Rowan University and Media Communications in Rotterdam.
According to the school, university preparation does not begin when students are writing their final applications. Students are encouraged to explore their options progressively through university counselling, individual coaching, workshops and university events. They also use Unifrog, a digital platform where they complete assessments on their interests and strengths and find university information matched to their profiles.
The next step in that programme is the Spanish University Fair, which the school hosts on campus on Wednesday 21 October from 14:00 to 15:30. It is one of two university fairs organised at Lady Elizabeth School each year, and students and parents will be able to meet university representatives, ask questions and discover courses and universities. The school has opened the fair to families from outside its own community, particularly those with children from Year 10 to Year 13, who can register through its website.

What this means for families
University destinations show how a school prepares students for life after Sixth Form. For families on the Costa Blanca, the Lady Elizabeth School list shows leavers going on to universities in both the UK and Spain, and to a growing range of destinations further afield.
The open University Fair on 21 October also gives parents of teenagers a chance to meet admissions representatives in person. Families comparing schools in the area can consult the International School Advisor ranking of the best international schools in Alicante.
