SINGAPORE, 14 October 2026. Dover Court International School in Singapore has welcomed Richard Vaughan as its new Principal from the start of the 2026-27 academic year. The Nord Anglia school on Dover Road announced the appointment on 21 September.
Mr Vaughan brings more than 25 years of school leadership in the United Kingdom and abroad. He joins from the British International School Hanoi, where he was Principal, and he has led schools across Europe and Asia, including within the Nord Anglia Education family and in the ASEAN and Asia-Pacific region.
Born in Sri Lanka and educated in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, he holds a Bachelor of Education with honours from Westminster College, Oxford, and the National Professional Qualification for Headship. He describes himself as a learner first, and outside school he enjoys running, tennis, golf, travelling and music.
In the school's announcement he put belonging at the centre of his approach, saying that students who feel valued, understood and connected are more comfortable being themselves and learn more effectively.

He added that he had followed the school's growth for a number of years. "The school has a proud 50-plus-year history, and I'm excited to work alongside students, staff and families", he said, "as we build on that strong foundation and shape the next chapter together."
