The World Academy of Tirana (WAT) is the first authorised International Baccalaureate (IB) World School in Albania, operating since 2013 and now part of the Orbital Education group. WAT offers the full IB continuum — the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP) — with English as the language of tuition and EAL (English as an Additional Language) support for students who need it. The school brings together children from expatriate and local communities, with 38 nationalities represented, creating a cosmopolitan, family-like learning environment. Its inquiry-based curriculum is centred on issues of local and global significance and is complemented by strong Arts and Health programmes alongside Maths, Sciences and core subjects. Co-curricular life includes a competitive Athletics programme and Model United Nations. Guided by the values of excellence, respect, responsibility, integrity and compassion, WAT aims to cultivate internationally-minded, caring and lifelong learners prepared for the world's top universities.
