About The Montessori International School of Vietnam - Thao Dien Campus (MIS)
The Montessori International School of Vietnam (MIS) takes great pride in providing care and education to children in their formative years. Parents expect different things from their child’s first schooling experience.
Some parents come to me and say that they would like their child just to be happy. Others expect their child to be academically advanced when leaving our programme. At MIS, happy experiences and academics are not mutually exclusive. They are components of our curriculum and programme, but they are neither the end nor the beginning of the child’s education.
We strive to bring out the whole and best human being in each child.

Chúng tự do đi lại, tự do lựa chọn học cụ để làm việc, một vài đứa trẻ chênh lệch độ tuổi làm việc cùng nhau. ^^
A good environment for children to enjoy their childhood, together with full expose their potential.
As a parent, there is nothing better than knowing your child is safe and in good hands.

The Montessori International School of Vietnam seeks to enable all its students to achieve their full potential by providing them with a nurturing and stimulating environment, and by being sensitive and responsive to their individual needs. The School strongly emphasises the development of the child’s qualities and skills that will help them become happy, confident and responsible individuals with an intrinsic motivation for life-long learning. Principal's Message The Montessori International School of Vietnam (MIS) takes great pride in providing care and education to children in their formative years. This is achieved from following the Montessori method, which see our endless effort and improvement to meet each child’s growing needs and interests. At all ages, children are allowed to naturally follow their own path, develop their own interest and opinion. They are guided to realise their own strength and weakness and learn how to improve themselves. In a fast changing world where information and knowledge can be obtained through different channels, where our children will grow up with wider usage of Artificial Intelligence, academic abilities alone are not enough to help them succeed. At MIS, children learn how to study, establish a love of learning and the ability to think outside the box, and develop their empathy and emotional intelligence. These are important attributes and skills that will enable them in the future to embrace challenges, be proactive to create and make necessary changes that bring betterment and happiness to themselves and others throughout their lives. For our infants and toddlers, we incorporate the globally recognised Resources for Infant Educarers® (RIE®) approach through an environment that is physically safe, cognitively challenging and emotionally nurturing. Care and relationship is part of the curriculum. At 3-6yrs, our children enjoy and benefit from the Montessori education, which offers as a natural way to learn and absorb the world around them. At 6-12yrs, through the Montessori 'Cosmic and Peace' education, students continue to embrace the world and to find inner calmness and outer peace. IT and computer skills, performing and visual arts are included in the curriculum to prepare them to enter the next level of education after finishing their experience with us. I take great pleasure and pride in founding the first Montessori school in Vietnam. MIS has been providing authentic Montessori education since its establishment in 2007, one hundred years after the inception of the first Montessori class in Rome in 1907. I am also proud that the school is part of the American Montessori Society (AMS). Thao Dien Campus is a Full International Member School AMS, with the An Phu Campus an Associate Satellite International School Following the worldwide significant growth, Montessori education in Vietnam has seen a phenomenal surge in recent years. I am also proud to have helped train and coach many Head Teachers and Teaching Assistants (via the School and in other schools in HCMC).

Trường cũ xuống câp xập xệ, hiệu trưởng trường không thân thiện, trả lời vòng vo. The facility is very old comparing with the high prices. The principle is unfriendly.

To other foreigner teachers: do NOT work there. They refuse to provide documents for your visas or resident card and work permit, which is required by law. You cannot work for a school unless they provide the documents required to get a work permit. They made me get a Canadian background check which cost a lot, all for nothing. They make you come to events and activities early in the morning, and then refuse to pay for it. When I say "they", I'm talking about a specific person: Libby Austin. It's weird to see a foreigner working in HR refusing to follow the VN labor laws. This place is super sketchy, illegal shenanigans all over. Hope the department of labor cracks down on them.
