Based in Hong Kong, The Harbour School (THS) is a primary and secondary international school that recognizes children as complex individuals with differing needs, goals, personalities, and backgrounds and thus takes a customized approach to learning. Founded in 2007, THS has gained a worldwide reputation as a center of educational excellence emphasizing skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, creativity, innovation and resilience. We recently placed second worldwide in a global competition for 21st Century School of the Year. While we offer an American curriculum, it is adapted to ensure learning success for a very diverse international population. We are committed to unlocking the best in every student, encouraging students to find and develop their areas of strength. THS is a model for providing a 21st-century education for typical, advanced and gifted children while also providing support to students with areas of weakness. Outliers in any population who may not be appropriately addressed in a less customized curriculum achieve remarkable success at THS. We have created an environment that provides a comprehensive, integrated education building on a strong foundation of core skills to develop a global cultural literacy in science, history, technology, and the arts in an atmosphere of kindness, flexibility, respect, and individualism.

My daughter has been with Harbour for 5 years and she started in the harbour village as Pre -K student. She looks forward to going to school every day. Teachers are caring and take a hand on approach to teaching. I would recommend to any parents who wants their children to be confident and happy learners.

Low student/teacher ratio gives the teachers the time to focus on each child, to know them and cultivate each child as an individual. Lowest student/teacher ratio school in town. School founder is a PhD in Child Development and the school is run based on that. Excellent school.
