About The Gulf English School (GES)

The Gulf English School opened in 1993 to meet the need for an educational facility which would provide a broad and balanced curriculum based on the English National Curriculum and also offer an Arabic Language and Islamic Studies programme as authorized by the Supreme Education Council. The school is housed in modern purpose built facilities of a coeducational programme up until Year Five and a segregated programme from Year Six onwards.

From a small beginning in two villas, the school has rapidly developed and now occupies two large modern purpose built premises with all facilities available to educate students to a high standard.

The Gulf English School only employs fully qualified teachers of the highest calibre from all over the world. All teachers are fluent and competent English speakers who are experts in their particular field of knowledge and skills.

Teachers bring a wide breadth of experience and pedagogical practice and many hold masters degrees or equivalent.

First of all, The school's rules are extremely old and it shouldn't even be called a "private school" their school is name by a private school but when you actually join the school and experience it there's no difference when you want to compare it to a public school I can tell you this because me myself I am a student studying at GES since pre-school and I can completely agree that teachers there can be extremely rude and will only think about what head teachers say about them and about their money. The school is very old style and there isn't even activities that new futuristic schools do. They give out detentions and c4s for NO REASON RANDOMLY and they sometimes even disagree to students from going to bathrooms which is actually forbidden BY LAW? As for the girls there way too much gossip and way too much drama. Every term they put on polls and questions on teams to make themselves like they care about students "mental heath and how they are feeling" when they don't even put any effort in trying to change a student's mood. They don't care how students are feeling how they are working on and if anything is going alright and if they got concerned they will try to help for literally a day then just ignore what is happening with the student. Either its bullying or rumors or a girl being uncomfortable in class they just don't care and try to make themselves caring (in front of parents and headteachers). Secondly the school uniform, please try to change the school uniform like are we going to jail or something?? And definitely not gonna forget not letting yr9 and above girls having nails on neither makeup like what type of rule is that if were actually in a private school? No teacher has no right of removing my makeup or my nails I choose what to wear and what to put on my face. As well as, the doors every 2 inches in corridors are we in a mental illness hospital?? Like let us walk like humans we need to walk and move parts of our bodies do you understand that we have to sit on your uncomfortable plastic chairs for a whole 6 hours day of learning and writing?? We need to move around and feel like we are at school not at a hospital?! From my experience I would never let my children enter GES. Thank you.

As a parent, very satisfied about the care, facilities and teaching methods. An excellent place for visual-learners. Learner-centered teaching, patient and supportive teachers, highly qualified teachers.

Worst school ever. The staff are very rude, and the students are even worse. The staff are just there for the money, and the education isn’t good. They don’t teach your children anything useful, and I feel like the school just wants to grab money in any way possible. Students are just there to show off, and not to learn. Staff are absolutely disgusting, and show favoritism towards students. If you want to go to a good school that actually teaches your kids, do not come to this school. If I could, I would give this school 0 stars. All the good teachers left the school, and they replaced the good teachers with “teachers” that don’t understand anything and that are extremely rude. The staff there think that they’re better than everyone. The school has lots of drama, and wouldn’t be a good place to learn. Even one teacher admitted to me that almost all of the teachers in this school are just there for the money. Take my advice, do NOT come to this school!!
