About British School Quito (BSQ)
British School Quito (BSQ) is Ecuador's only truly British international school, where the English National Curriculum is taught with strong links to local language and culture. We are proud of our joint British-Ecuadorian roots and have a very strong reputation in the local and international community. Our curriculum is student-centred, so that each individual can reach their full potential.
BSQ students prepare for the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (iGCSE) in Years 10 and 11, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma in Years 12 and 13 and achieve results above the world averages. Many of our graduates go to the world's top universities. British School Quito is a foundation, with the sole purpose of providing education.
We are an IB World School, accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Duke of Edinburgh's Award. We are licensed and accredited by the Ecuadorian Ministry of Education. The school is located in the beautiful Cumbaya valley to the East of Quito, close to the Ruta Viva motorway and 20 minutes from the airport.
