Stonehill International School is proud to be an International Baccalaureate (IB) world school catering to students from the ages of 3 to 18 in the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP).
At Stonehill, we are dedicated to our Mission Statement – “To provide stimulating, engaging academics integrated with enhanced opportunities for technological innovation, sports and the arts.” As you visit our campus and website, you will see that our learning community is dedicated to the development of knowledgeable, caring, confident and responsible global citizens. Parents describe our learning community as “warm and welcoming, where every child is cared for and valued” – which is further evidence that our Mission is alive and thriving.
Founded in 2008, Stonehill International School is a part of Embassy Education, the education vertical of the Embassy Group. The ground breaking ceremony and pooja was held in September 2007 and the construction of the Administration Block began in April 2008.
The school opened its doors to eighteen students on the 8th of September 2008. We were authorised by the IB to offer the Diploma Programme in 2010, the Primary Years Programme in 2011 and the Middle Years Programme in 2012.
We launched our boarding programme in August 2014 with twelve boarding students. Expansion plans continued with the inauguration of the Multipurpose Hall in October 2018 followed by the state-of-the-art STEM Block and Arts Centre in November 2019.
To all prospective parents
I am a parent of a prospective student who is 4 years old.
This is probably the most expensive school in Bangalore and I was prepared to pay the fees. But I assure you the service is less than stellar, tardy even.
As you may have noticed they have excellent marketing boasting about their facilities and excellent IB curriculum, but the service and attitude of its frontline staff is absolutely sub par compared to other schools in terms of engagement. There is no doubt that Education is a business, but as an Educational Institution, at its core should be the duty and heart to provide sincere services for the betterment of children. However. there is none here.
Consider this, they have a 150 USD application fee which is non-fundable, which they say is for the time spent in evaluating the paperwork (really?).
They have never even met or offered to see my son during the entire application process.
After all the supposed evaluation on outdated information, if the school itself initiates that they are unable to manage your child ( and can you imagine that, the so-called best equipped school saying they cannot manage), your hard earned money is forfeit. What a scam!
Said application fee seems to be also unique to this school.
If you believe in good old service and sincerity, you will not find it here.
Please don’t take my words at face value, feel free to engage them. If you still believe in the marketing hyperbole like I naively did, good luck!
Thank you for your admission of your incompetence in your reply, Stonehill.
