St. George International School Madrid is a private British school, located in Madrid, with classes from 2 to 18 years old. We have students from more than 40 different nationalities who, from the first day, learn English with native teachers. For us, the most important thing is that each child reaches their own maximum potential and aims excellence so that they have all the tools they need to excel in the future. Our school offers a British International education to children of families living in Madrid, both expatriate and local.
Our curriculum takes the best of the British education system and effectively adapts it so that students develop as globally-minded, international individuals. We are a fast growing school that is working hard to nurture talent right across our community—staff, students and parents, and we pride ourselves on our open tolerant environment where making mistakes is a vital part of the learning process. We actively promote our school values of Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Kindness and Personal Best as these underpin how we characterise ourselves as a school.
Students who come to St George Madrid are challenged to rise to these values by a dedicated, highly qualified and largely expatriate staff. This ensures an effective transition into universities all around the world, giving our students both the confidence and the academic results they need to progress. St George students and staff are friendly and open.
My 10 year old son was kicked in the groin and then kicked while on the floor in the dining hall, leaving a 10cm scar on his lower back. The school’s response was to keep the attacker at home for one day. Staff turnover is high and bullying endemic.
