About Shanghai Community International School (SCIS)
Shanghai Community International School is one of the first international schools in Shanghai to become fully authorized as an International Baccalaureate (IB) Continuum World School, a world-class academic program aimed at rigorous critical thinking and global citizenship. This accreditation extends across all SCIS Campuses, including Hongqiao and Pudong, providing a seamless program for students aged 2-18, and comprised of the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP).
From nursery and preschool, all the way through grade 12, students at Shanghai Community International School are provided with opportunities to explore their passions in a caring, nurturing, and differentiated environment. Students and teachers at SCIS join together in learning to appreciate the differences that both enrich us individually as well as create bonds within our community at large.

How would you rate Shanghai Community International School (SCIS)?
As a former student at SCIS, I can confidently say that those were the best years of my life. Among all the international schools, SCIS definitely stands out for its incredible diversity in nationalities. It's safe to say that every kid at SCIS arrived and left school everyday with a smile on their face.
Very fun and engaging
SCIS Hongqiao have very good teachers but most equipment's can have some struggle. Overall the school is a 9/10
SCIS is a unique and caring school that truly embraces diversity in every sense of the word. Throughout my 8 year tenure as a student, I have made life-long friends from all over the world and was exposed to a variety of ideas, cultures, and skills that I continue to hold close to this day. Looking back, I have nothing but fond memories of my time there.
Focused on educating students to be a well rounded and socially responsible person. Truley international with students from all over the world.
