How would you rate SEK International School Qatar?
The head of the school is always angry with the staff, which makes them not do their job towards the students. I do not recommend this school to any child who loves education, because the school's environment is not safe for the well-being of the students.
After when the lovely and caring principal Ms. Vivian left SEK, the quality of education in this school has became poor, and my daughter, who has been a student there for six years, no longer enjoyed attending the school. Since the start of the pandemic, the school has started accepting unqualified teachers who have no prior experience teaching the IB curriculum, and throughout the academic year, many teachers disappear from the school suddenly. For example, when my daughter was in grade 12 , her chemistry teacher has disappeared suddenly, and she did not have a chemistry teacher for about two month. After all of these complains, the ministry of education should think of closing this terrible school as soon as possible, and replace it with a new IB school.
Unfortunately, teachers only care about their own pay and do not consider how to enhance the school's administration, academic program, resources, or level of instruction for students in order to develop their own education
Teachers very attentive to the students. First day of school today and my daughter told me it was “ fun”! I believe SEK makes learning fun and it’s the way learning should be.
SEK is one of the worst schools in Qatar. The school has unprofessional stuff, who are very rude to parents and students especially when they ask for assistance. The teachers don't support students to achieve their goals. Besides, the DP coordinator finds it difficult to organize the diploma course within two years, as I had to work on all of the IA projects that are worth 20% in grade 12, which caused me to not have time to prepare for the final IB exams in grade 12. Don’t really recommend this school for any child that loves education.
I took my PYP daughter out of this school 2 years ago and am so glad i did. the teachers did not even focus on her reading and writing as they should when a first grade should be and instead focused on useless things. my other two daughter stayed and we all regret it. the teachers are rude, unhelpful, and clearly dont want to do their job (lazy). there id clearly no HR that hires good teachers. its clear that no matter how much people complain, the bad teachers stay because no teachers want to apply for this school. the administration is also rude. very bad experience
Highly unprofessional staff and no extracurricular activities or facilities. One of the worst schools for its price.
Don't waste your time there, the school is bad for work in Qatar, poor and week management- the school is mis managed working there makes you feel on edge as they let go of the staff suddenly. As a parent don't recommend educating the kids in such school. Poor facilities and management that affects the education level negatively.
Attended the school for 1 year and moved to another IB one in Doha and didn't regret it.
Didn't like the school, very tiny and the school head seemed aggressive and impulsive manager towards the staff... not interested to have my kid join such an environment.

Outstanding staff and great facilities in the heart of the West Bay. The school follows the IB curriculum and they have been very successful with the international accreditations. The students are happy attending the school, however it is very rigurous to get a seat.
