Our Own High School, Al Warqa’a, (a Boys’ school) is one of the GEMS pioneer schools which started in 1968 and has carved a niche for itself in the Emirate of Dubai, the U.A.E. and the world.

Our Own High School, Al Warqa’a, is a GEMS school created in 2005 as a single shift facility for boys of ‘Our Own English High School, Dubai’ which was established in Bastakiya in 1968. ‘Our Own’ Al Warqa’a shares the same vision, ethos and work culture that has given the parent school its laudable presence. ‘Our Own’ Al Warqa’a now has 4,700 students and 218 teachers.
The school is well-recognized for the quality of its academic achievements and the service it provides to students and parents. Our educational priorities are based on current trends that affect education globally, on the shared leadership and management agenda that is consciously emerging across GEMS schools.

How would you rate Our Own High School, Al Warqa?
ITS GOOD !!!! BUT THE QUALITY OF TEACHERS ISNT GREAT... LIKE THEIR ENGLISH SPEAKING SKILLS , THEIR RELATION WITH THE STUDENT ETC.. AND OBVIUOSLY OUR OWN IS FAMOUS FOR TAKING PREVIOUS YEAR STUDENTS FOR EVERY SPORT,.. NOT GIVING CHANCES TO NEW BOYS:(

Did my Kg to Grade 10 had really enjoyed in this school, teacher's are very supportive to children with determination they make them feel that they are better than other kids. Special thanks to Ajitha Mam who made my math easy during grade 8th n thanks to all the teachers who taught me till 10th.

primary arabic teaching is worse .teacher is going like a super fast train.doesnt notice whether the kids are following her.thats is the only pblm i noticed in the school
