About Oman Private School (OPS)
Oman Private School Muscat opened its doors in 1977. As the very first private school in the Sultanate of Oman, OPS has transformed through the ages. The driving force behind our school is the perfect merging of modern education with Islamic traditions. Our goal is to motivate, guide and be instruments for our students to be leaders in the present and in the future.
As of 2018, we have implemented the International Baccalaureate program and we are currently in our second year of candidacy for the Primary Years Program and the Middle Years Program. As we move forward with the implementation of the IB program, our students have demonstrated tremendous success academically in their ability to think critically and communicate their learning. We encourage our students to not just answer questions, but to question answers. In addition, the IB Learner Profile attributes reflect many of the Islamic teachings that are at the core of our school community.
These attributes have helped to further develop our students holistically as they transform into esteemed global citizens.

How would you rate Oman Private School (OPS)?
Great school with dedicated teachers and staff. Lots of activities for children. Current facilities are not amazing but satisfactory. Kids love the school and environment. Excellent art teacher.

Excellent international education (International Baccalaureate). Students are truly cared for and learn through inquiry. A wonderful environment where Islamic values are upheld.

The rating placed on this school does not do justice to the professionalism of the teachers or the care the students receives. Your child will progress well here and be well educated by number of experienced expats and local teachers.
