The Lycée Français de Madrid (LFM) is a French school that applies the education system of the French National Education. It is not a bilingual institution, although it provides a high level of Spanish language instruction. It belongs to the network of AEFE (Agency for French Education Abroad), which includes nearly 500 schools from 137 countries. Rich in history (the LFM is over 130 years old) and having followed all the stages of the development of Spanish society, the French Lycée of Madrid offers a good example of the French educational model.
For many years, the LFM has been known for its ability to train students with excellent general knowledge and analytical skills, a deep civic and political commitment and especially of an opening to others; in other words, students with strong values, whose adaptation in a world in perpetual evolution is much appreciated.
