About Korea International School Seoul (KIS)
Korea International School Seoul (KIS) is a school that values its Western tradition in education, and to this, the school has established a challenging and well-rounded academic curriculum, where the arts, student activities and athletics are also highly valued.
The students are nurtured to acquire ‘habits of mind’ such as problem solving, decision-making, critical and creative thinking skills as well as to gain academic success. At KIS Seoul, we pride ourselves in our ability to deliver high-quality education in a small campus setting. With low student-teacher ratios, the campus is ideally suited to give all learners that special care and attention they require in their formative years.

How would you rate Korea International School Seoul (KIS)?
I think it is a good school and allows you to gain a lot of experience. And know a lot of people also different nationalities and make lots of friends.
Not worth it.. inexpensive for a reason. The curriculum is not preparing students for their futures, and the campus is difficult to navigate.
This school is great for people who prefer a tight-knit community feel. In my opinion, the school has made me well-rounded, and the school felt like a second family. Because it is close to nature, we often went outside to explore. Another thing that I loved about this school is that we got to have hands-on experiences. For example, we built a water filtration system, and even a chicken coop. We also got to hatch chickens, which was very cool. Lastly, the teachers are very flexible, and are open-minded. We convinced our homeroom teacher to get us a class pet (a hedgehog). Overall, I enjoyed my time at KIS Seoul and I hope that you will consider sending your child here.
This school is so poor! I will never send my child here again. The facilities / amenities are horrible! Poor education, teachers work as if they’re on minimum wage! Don’t send your child here.
Very Good School At Teaching Languages Plus Fantastic Education For Kids
Impressed with the school system. This is a big school compared to other foreign schools in Korea. We had such a great experience with the admissions. Very well organized and so helpful and welcoming. In our first visit to school with our child we saw this poster stating “... Don’t be afraid of being different. Be afraid of being the same as everyone else...” great statement! We hope this momentum sustains and educate and guide our kids to be a full human. We noted there are some parents getting way to involved in school... but was also able to observe how professionally school is able to well balance and secure looking after the best interest of students. We understand some parents send their kids to after school institutions (for homework, exams, prep for class...omg!) and thinking parents are the ones to manage their child’s grades.... this is very very sad. School is for kids! And we hope school sustains it’s vision and not be influenced by some tiger moms. In addition, we also experienced PTO where via virtually school principal presented the entire meeting. Again, we saw devotion and professionalism of teachers. So far, we are impressed and we are excited to see our kids grow in KIS.
