Jerudong International School (JIS) founded in 1997 is in the small, beautiful country of Brunei Darussalam, on the island of Borneo.
In January 2019, it was the first school in the world to receive 'Outstanding' in all 9 areas inspected by the OFSTED appointed PENTA group.
It is a large, thriving Boarding and Day school with over 1650 students from 55 countries offering a broad, liberal education in the best traditions of western independent schools. The 200+ Boarding students live in a large bespoke Boarding Community within the 120 acre campus. Boarding is from 8-18 years of age.
It is one of the leading British international schools in South East Asia preparing students for I/GCSEs, A levels and the IB Diploma. Exam results are excellent and graduating students progress to the world's leading Universities mainly in UK, Canada, USA, Australia.
Jerudong International School has almost 200 highly qualified teachers primarily from the UK but also from Australia, New Zealand, France and Brunei.

JIS is the best of the best in the world. The canteen features an amazing selection of food and it second to none! There are many facilities which aid in giving children an enriching education and many nationalities i would definitely say this is the best school in the world! TOTALLY AWESOME!
