About Istanbul International Community School (IICS)
Istanbul International Community School (IICS)Ā is anĀ InternationalĀ Baccalaureate School in Istanbul. Founded in 1911Ā to educate the children of the Robert College faculty, the school has maintained a century-long tradition of academic excellence. Istanbul International Community School is an independent, co-educational day school, offering a full IB program from pre-kindergarten (ages 3) to grade 12 (ages 18) for international students (holders of non-Turkish passports).
We were one of the first schools in the world and the first in Turkey authorized by the International Baccalaureate to provide all three IB programs. At IICS, we are very proud of our strong record of university acceptances and our tradition of 100% university attendance. While we are naturally gratified that our graduates attend some of the worldās most prestigious universities, what we find most rewarding is that all of our alumni are able to attend universities geared to their unique interests, abilities and needs. What makes that possible is the exceptional level of personal attention provided by our college counseling team.
Our counselors take the time to get to know each student personally, identify the type of university that is right for them and then make the most of their network of contacts at universities worldwide, as well as IICSās century-long reputation for excellence to ensure that our students are placed at schools that will help them grow and excel.

Super information from all over the world about university options! Teachers know the students SO well that their letters of recommendation are strong and detailed. I like the individualized approach to students.

The education at IICS is totally in English. The curriculum, the profoundness of the school's mindset, the environment prove that IICS is probably the best foreign school (in terms of American education system) in Turkey.
