How would you rate YMCA Christian Academy (YCA)?
It is a new school with all new administrators. Not organised and seems to not understand education, but more of business related.
My children have thrived in a nurturing environment, small class size and close knit community.
Because YCA sucks. and because I actually went in to yca so i am tell you the truth!!
i was really happy at the school
IslandCA is a small lovely school with loving and caring teachers and the Principal gets to know the name of each student. It’s a family-like community in which everyone is supporting one another. The school puts lots on emphasis on moral education and growth mindset. Each student receives enough attention from the teachers due to the small class size. The academic standard is high and teachers are working really hard to ensure each student are up to standard by offering well-structured online classes and giving specific audio comments / words of encouragement through online education tool even during pandemics. My kid definitely enjoys his time with IslandCA and this is exactly the kind of school / education I am looking for.
ICA is a diamond in the rough, if you value a high level of proven academic teaching (they are they only IPC-accredited school in HK), morale-building, and a general family-feel. It’s a school where the principals actually get to know every kid by name, and greet them every day. Kids are taught not only to a high academic level with progressive and creative teaching, including a daily, (tailored to skill level) Chinese program, but they are also encouraged to be kind, thoughtful and loving people. It was a no-brainer that our second child would attend here as well, even though she attended ESF kindergarten. This is the perfect fit for what we are looking for in education. They will be moving to a bigger campus in 2022 and we welcome that, as it means more years with them.
This is a school that value moral education. School is filled with lots of love. Teachers are so kind with warm hearts.
