About Internationella Engelska Skolan Enskede (IES)
Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) was founded by Mrs Barbara Bergström in 1993, a science teacher from the USA. She saw the need to improve education in Sweden, and set out three major convictions which have defined life in our schools ever since; s safe and orderly school environment where teachers can teach and students learn, command of English and high academic expectations and aspirations.
At IES Enskede the whole team at the school, including teachers, school leaders, and support staff, is there to help your child learn. Internationella Engelska Skolan asks all of our students to join staff in helping to create a pleasant working environment, through simple acts like behaving in a respectful way to everyone.

Good system for learning the Swedish curriculum in English. Nice to have retired US president as principal.
