I don’t suggest IIL if you have a neurodivergence. It took them 2 months or even more to respond to my asking for extra time ( in the end they didn’t give me it still ). The management in this school is horrendous, my friend asked to move to another class, when she moved they told her they wanted to move her back on several occasions. Also the school teachers are not afraid to yell or shout at you. They will give you marks based on their opinion of you. I do not suggest this school at all.

Parents who anonymously tell here that the behaviour system at this school sucks are just angry with this school for some personal reasons. It is true that the school is expensive, but our children received a great education, both from an academic perspective as from a humane perspective. Most teachers are great, very dedicated, creative in their teaching, and inspiring every pupil to achieve. The school does indeed let a parent know when they think a certain subject choice is not great, but both my children were e.g. accepted in a HL maths class. For the first one, this worked out well, thanks to hard work and dedication. For the second, it didn't. The teacher was the same for both, and was fair about the results, and about different options. The result was a happier child taking Standard Level maths, understanding what they were doing, and with a great overall result on the IB DP programme.

It is sickening how bad the behaviour system is at this Lancy Institution. My son and daughter both accused multiple times of doing things I KNOW they did not do. They eventually got asked to somehow "find another school". My daughter in the French section and son in the English section but this somehow sums it up. Lancy is an Institute that has zero respect for anyone who may differ and their behaviour system is very messed up. Please don't come to this school and I advise anyone with a child not to. Thanks very much for the inconvenience, Lancy. Adios.

The school's English section has a terrible way of managing virtually everything and you SHOULD not put your child here unless you are a completely careless parent. My son was recently not allowed to enter higher level math despite his grades because the school was trying to maintain " diversity in the classroom amongst all genders ". Then my son was put into trouble and had a strike on his behavior record because someone ELSE had said that one of the teachers was a greedy B word, the person was then found guilty but they STILL asked them if they were covering for my son's actions. I am now taking action to get my son out of there ASAP. Please consider carefully if you think this is the right school for any child and you should probably NOT think it is. About 5 times already I had to petition for my son to get the right grade on his test as my husband is a teacher elsewhere and he knows biased grades when he sees them.

As I saw in another review, the behaviour system is terrible. My son recently got 5 strikes on the behaviour record first for an incident regarding this assembly class. Next was because of trousers. The next was because of his hoodie and eventually he left class 1 minute early. He got suspended for this nonsense. The English section is extremely biased and I advise against any regular parent putting a young child in a school like this. The staff are terrible and biased against anyone who could threaten their reputation and gender + racial diversity and so is there behaviour system. Sick school that has a bad business strategy where reputation comes above quality.

The behaviour system is terrible and depending if they like you they won't cater any attention to for improving your behaviour as the director and head of secondary english are both incredibly biased and the way they treat you varies if they like you. For how much this school costs this is totally unacceptable. I never had any major behaviour incidents it was persistent issues such as homework, lateness, classroom work and getting my phone out in class and yet I was expelled from the school although I was not on my medication for my adhd and prior to this I was giving a 2 week warning that if my behaviour didn't improve I would be expelled and then I started getting in trouble for things that from what I heard was acceptable such and hoodie i wore and a pair of cargos I wore which was a clear indicator that they wanted me out in the first place. There was also an incident where 20chf went missing from a students wallet and I was a the first suspect and when the student who took it admitted to it they asked him twice if he was covering for me. There was also a incident where my form tutor told me too not talk so "gang" in regards to my accent this was prior to something I said. I would not recommended this school to someone who plans on sending there child there.

My son attended IIL for 3years. I was utterly disappointed by the lack of management and professionalism in English secondary. School profitability is their sole concern, none of my son's social or emotional skills were being developed, hardly academic’s skills on a very restricted area. After struggling for almost 2 years to improve my son's overall grades, I decided to take him out and put him in a semi-private English school but my son didn't even manage to pass the entry exam, and IIL would have just continued to cash in and not address my son's individual needs. He is now back in the French public system. I am not saying it's better but at least I am not being robbed from so much money with no good academic results. I challenged the management style behind their nice talks, but they don't care about your children's individual needs, instead it's all about the money they get and their reputation. The worse school for a private, international school.

IIL is very international with more than 90 nationalities, which creates a stimulating and enriching environment. Students and staff are dedicated and friendly. You feel that they care about each other and about what they do. I truly enjoy working there.

This school is amazing!! They have excellent teachers who go above and beyond to help the students achieve the best grades possible. The relatively small number of students per class, makes it so that the teachers can easily help students individually during the class or even after through e-mails or meetings. Programs such as the IB are excellent in preparing seniors on their way to University. The school facilities themselves are top of the line enhancing the students learning abilities in the classroom. There is a wonderful atmosphere in the school, we can sense that the students are happy and enjoy learning. Overall this is a fantastic school!

I attended this school for 3 years. It was wonderful - they like to help integrate different ages and backgrounds which really helped me grow as a person and learn to interact with many different people. They also enjoyed holding fun intercurricular events. I have very fun and fond memories. Much better than the schools I later went on to study at. I have since started the University of Bristol in England studying Anthropology.

Excellent facilities and resources, although at a high price. Many of the teachers are extremely helpful and will go out of their way to aid students, which can be quite reassuring in the final years of formal schooling. I have been at this school for the entirety of my education, and will leave with many happy memories.

Primary is amazing, in French and English sections, I would recommend it but secondary not so much... My 3 children attended this school for 2 years. I was utterly disappointed by the lack of management and professionalism in French secondary. School profitability is their sole concern, none of the children social, physical or emotional skills are being developed, hardly academic’s skills on a very restricted area. After the good experience we had in American and English schools abroad, it has been quite a bad experience. If you have children there, I suggest you make yourself your own opinion and challenge the management style behind their nice talks, when you get the chance to meet them!
