How would you rate Gulf International School (GIS)?
The overall system is very organized, admin staff is amazing. Excellent teachers. However, more hygiene needs to be maintained as washrooms are always very unclean and most of the time tissues aren't being provided
Lack of communication, bad management they treat students very badly and never satisfied their needs especially high schoolers.
The overall system doesn't help struggling students academically nor psychologically. Quite a few of the teachers shouldn't be called teachers, they are rude, cruel and base their teaching on dumping huge info and tasks on the students to memorize rather than explain or foster debate and dialog, critical thinking and project based learning. Many have a thick accent as well which was quite hard for my kids and myself as a parent to comprehend. The lack of variety in the activities for students (especially those in middle and high school) is shameful. I'm truly disappointed and have pulled my kids after just one year there.
The Best school
Great school, wonderful staff
A very good building, administration and teachers
مدرسة رائعة جداً، خصوصا الطاقم التدريسي
Excellent school, great staff
The best School in Al Khobar
As a School Counselor and a mother of two students, and after comparing with other schools; GIS can be considered one of the best schools in the Eastern Province especially in Al Khobar. Starting with the administration staff from both Boys and Girls sections that respect, cooperate and listen to the parents and student's needs, the experienced and well trained teachers, the highly educated and professional Vice-Principals for each section and level, the strong British syllabus and high facilities such as ( The Building, Classrooms and play grounds). Recently, during Virtual and online classes, most of our parent's experiences and feedback were positive and they were very satisfied about our online learning. I hope we will keep it up as always

The school fee is too much and the school itself isn't worth the fee at all but it's not bad if you can pay the fee with ease it's more bad than good and if you're and average parent I wouldn't recommend this school at all. The only thing thing that's kind of good in this school is that their equipment is good.

As a student, I wouldn’t want to give any rating for several reasons, but I’d like to say that I had high expectations for this school and all of that disappeared in just the first day . It was a disaster that day when I first entered, my name wasn’t on the class list so I had to waste half of the day . It was a very nice experience as I remember . Moreover, as for how the teachers should be treating you and how the hygiene should be important , again non of these could be done properly either..... The teachers are kind yet some do yell out of nowhere and could be bias . In addition, the student goes to school to learn so how about the teachers should be able to do their work properly? I won’t elaborate on that , but my advice for you if you are a student coming from a high standard school it would be better for you not to be here for several reasons and that’s my advice for you . As well as , the hygiene isn’t proper as well . The bathrooms are always wet and there are no tissues provided ; I can really tell that the janitors are putting in so much effort, so I advice you to bring tissues from home if u attend to this school and I would prefer if the school actually starts to reflect and fixes it’s problem and flaws . I’m really disappointed and I hope the school does fix its mistakes as I heard it was one of the best schools in khobar . Thank you
