It’s a wonderful place, it’s fun and most people are nice!
We have 3 children in the ESH. All 3 went through Primary and now attend Secondary. We have been there since day 1, when the Primary school first opened. While there were teething problems, and finding and retaining brilliant teachers remains a challenge, we are very happy overall with the experience. All 3 of our kids love the school and have made very solid friendships, not only with their class mates but also with kids from other language sections. Some of the teachers are so committed and inspiring and others a bit less, like all schools. At the heart of the school is a really good management and administrative team, as well as the teachers. The facilities are amazing, the library is really great and the music rooms and science labs are impressive. The interior of the school has been modernised but some of the original details have been kept. I keep telling my kids they don't know how lucky they are!
Good school I like very fun
The secondary school is well located within a fully refurbished centenary building. The curriculum follows the European Baccalaureate and is fully recognized as a scholae Europea diploma. The level achievement when getting Y7 level is bilingual and provide a wide range of possibility to apply in european universities including French ones.
Great school. My son loves it. The teachers are great.

Beware that it is not a real European School. In fact it is more like a Dutch School which managed to get some financing by the Dutch state and the international organizations by trying to appear as European: what I mean: Teachers are mostly with Dutch passport and selected by the School management so they are not assigned according to European criteria. School holidays are exactly like Dutch school holidays, not even a week of difference, so prepare yourself to pay expensive tickets when you then fly home in Europe and face long queues if you travel by car. If your child is sick they ask you several proofs, worst than your employer! Heard also stories of children who were not allowed to go to the toilet during lesson.
