About Deutsche Schule Barcelona

Deutsche Schule Barcelona, founded by the German-speaking Protestant community in 1894, has developed in the 125 years of its history to one of the largest German schools abroad and a multicultural school of rank and name.

It has gone through many stations with a great deal of turbulence until it has become what she is today: a traditional and modern excellent German school abroad and an important location for German-Spanish encounters in the Spanish-Catalan and pan-European environment.

Got two kids here, one in Kindergarten, the other in elementary school. We're very happy with the teachers and facilities. Kids absolutely enjoy it.

Music teacher since 1988 at the school, -for the first 10 years approximately working in black. As of the 2014/15 season they stop calling me to do classes, when not doing so I write to them by email to ask and they answer me that "for now they don't need another teacher "? !! (But listen if I'm the teacher !!) Well, nobody had told me otherwise! and the person in charge of the music section always told me to wait because there was no student enrolled at the moment, that we would have to wait, -something that happened on some occasion until later in the course, - up to that point it is credible except when more than a year goes by .... I talk to the school principal and they make me believe that there are no students ... After a while they tell me "to send them my resume" ... funny, isn't it? I had been in school for 26 years and they ask me for my curriculum then as if I were going to enter for the first time !! That "at the moment they don't need another teacher" says it all, a great lack of ethics especially for a school that talks about values. In summary, as of today 2020 they have not yet told me the reason for anything, they have another teacher nonetheless. More scoundrels and cheeks cannot become, thus avoiding paying compensation, deceiving the worker

Deutsche Schule Barcelona is a private schooling institution located in Esplugues, Barcelona. This private school aims to successfully integrate the German children with the Spanish ones, and these into the German schooling system, so that all pupils are enabled at the conclusion of school to speak both languages vernacularly. They are guided during a 12-year tuition program together, after which they are faced with a final examination named Abitur, which is recognized on a global level. For those who do not succeed or plan on going through the whole preparatory school, secondary or general school systems are also offered. As a current pupil, I can confirm that it is a very effective school and we do host quite a bit of international pupils. The Café we also have is a very great place, and it is open for non-germans.
