At Costeas-Geitonas School (CGS) we strive to provide an academic setting where every student’s skills and character can flourish to the fullest by encouraging meaningful connections between the classroom and real life experiences. Our students work in an environment of ongoing inquiry, cooperation and mutual respect as they acquire a high caliber education and positive life attitudes to make a contribution to the world they live in.

Established in 1973 and governed by a Board of Directors, CGS is one of Greece’s oldest and most prestigious private schools, providing educational programmes from the pre-school to the secondary school level. Located in Pallini, a northern suburb of Athens on a 67,000 m2 campus, CGS has a student population of 1,700. The majority of the student body is comprised of Greek nationals but there is an emerging international and bi-cultural student population. There are 187 teaching faculty across all levels and 154 members of the school administration.

CGS is a multifaceted and multi-level school authorized to offer three International Baccalaureate programmes, ranging from the pre- school to the secondary level.

Grade 10 (MYP 5) students may choose to follow the Pre-IB DP programme alongside their regular studies as preparation for the IB Diploma Programme

For senior secondary level, students decide on whether to follow the Greek National Curriculum, leading to the high school diploma, “Apolytrio Genikou Lykeiou” or the IB Diploma Programme (DP), leading to the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

This is where my son studies and this should be telling of how I feel about this school. It's not the best in Greece but certainly a top 10, with a reasonable budget. The teachers are very helpful, reachable any time any day. Management is caring and is always improving the way things are done. Great online interaction through the ManageBac platform. I do everything electronically - never had to go to the school and stand in some queue. Daily updates on every aspect of the school life through emails. Particular strength of the school is its elite athlete training program where kids that want to excel in sports are not only welcome but actively helped and promoted. Interesting detail is that the parents of the students are wealthy of course, but not pretentious, which is all too common in other schools of this caliber. Very warm atmosphere with true non-superficial relations that will last a lifetime.
