About Costa Verde International School
Located in Sayulita, Mexico, an area rich in natural beauty and culture but facing pressing environmental and educational challenges, Costa Verde International School (CVIS) was formed to provide an excellent education for children, to support the local community, and to protect the environment. At CVIS, our multicultural and multilingual approach to education is driven by holistic student-centered principles. We know learning happens when kids feel supported, nurtured, and engaged in authentic and challenging project-based activities.
Daily instruction in mathematics, science, & language arts are delivered in each classroom by a highly-qualified native Spanish-speaking teacher and a highly-qualified native English-speaking teacher. Middle school courses may be taught in either Spanish or English depending on subject. Our ecologically inspired program meets both SEP and Common Core standards through evidence based, language rich instructional strategies.
