How would you rate Concordia International School Shanghai (CISS)?
My daughter loves it so much. The teachers are nice and smart. Dedicate to teaching and academic. And also pay attention to her wellbeing and character development! It's a campus for more than 25 years but doesn't look like that old. Planning to transfer my son from bilingual school too!
Concordia showcases a dynamic learning environment for students. A walkthrough from Middle School to High School classrooms at any time reveals diverse educational approaches in action. Although there were previous concerns about teacher quality, it's possible that these were more related to the preferences or expectations of certain parent demographics, with some inclined towards voicing complaints.
Horribly regimented schedule with little consideration for students and staff. New high school grading policy is ridiculous and seeks to push student grades to the ground. Admin and principals send out surveys about ''wanting to get student feedback on policy'', but these are ignored 10/10 times.
Everything is good, the academics are very good and my child has been in Concordia for 6 years (preschool three to 4th grade) and he comes home happy every day
Concordia is an ok school. However, for the money spent there are better options in Shanghai for a “premium international” education. The campus is mediocre (one small synthetic turf field, no pool), extra circular programs are limited, and despite being highly promoted, on-campus life and activities are underwhelming. Other than being conveniently located in the middle of JingQiao there isn’t anything that makes the school stand out among other options.
I came to this school as an MS student this year. The teachers are really nice (some exceptions) and the music, arts, and tech excels my expectations. I love this place.
I am a students at Concordia and I love it. The classes are exciting and we get to try out new subjects we never tried before. The sports class is especially awesome, it has different units on different kinds of sports, such as basketball, soccer, volleyball, wall ball, hand ball, etc. The teachers are very kind and supports us when we make mistakes. Most importantly, I have a lot of friends at Concordia! Concordia is a very inclusive community, we never exclude other and others never exclude us. lastly, the food is delicious. You get to choose if you want asian noodles, salad, western/asian set menu, vegan, or chef's special. You can also buy drinks or desserts.
