Chadwick School has grown significantly since opening in 1935, but the legacy of its founder, Margaret Lee Chadwick, remains a driving force behind the school’s continued development. One of Chadwick's most significant milestones is the founding in 2010 of Chadwick International School in Songdo, South Korea, expanding opportunities for students around the globe to benefit from a world-class Chadwick education and become lifelong members of the Chadwick Community. Chadwick International School develops global citizens with keen minds, exemplary character, self-knowledge, and the ability to lead.

I regret to have kept my kid longer than I should. Especially the elementary school is terrible, starting from the principal, administration, and teachers. Because of this bad administration, good teachers left shortly after if they did not know and made bad decision to come here (high turn over for good teachers). That means all remaining teachers are so so if not too bad. Many expat parents decided to take their kids out or decided rather to home school even they got paid for free tuition by the sponsor companies. Upper school is slightly better but if your kids are not sent to the after school program until 10-11pm like many Korean kids, your kids will be left behind and frustrated as those teachers they don't have to teach the Korean kids since they got from the academy already. I wish Songdo has more schools to consider and to complete as this school thinks we have no other options so they don't think they have to change or improve. Don't send your kids here or you will soon regret.

Chadwick International touts itself as being a high-quality education with a diverse student population. I would guess that nearly 90% of their students are Korean. The school's diversity relies on the many Korean students who are dual passport holders. Truly foreign students represent a very small number. The school deceives in website and promotional materials by heavily featuring foreign students. The principals claim they are open to dialogue from parents, yet rarely accept suggestions for change. Korean parents are afraid to voice their opinion for fear that their children will no longer be welcomed. Foreign parents are more vocal but overlooked because the school's primary mission is cultivating Korean students to eventually attend non-Korean universities. The school administrators over-communicate by sending many long messages, but not enough information of substance is conveyed. Parents are required to purchase (expensive) MacBooks and iPads for their children, depending on grade level. The future may be in technology, but it does not mean our children should be tied to their devices for every aspect of learning. Chadwick is overpriced for what we're getting, and the school is not nearly as excellent as the leaders would have you believe. Would not recommend and cannot wait to get my children out of this school.

This is a place where you don't hear too muck Korean. Even though people from other countries teach kids, but there are Korean teachers too. There is a subject that you choose ,world languages where you can speak Korean,Mandarin, etc. I personally love this school.
