Berlin British School (BBS) is a warm and caring community of local and international families from all over the world. While we prepare our students to strive for academic success, we pride ourselves on our holistic education and have a genuine determination to know and care for everyone.
A central part of a student’s education at the Berlin British School is to nurture the development of character through an engaging curriculum and supportive pastoral care programme.
Our School is an inclusive school and offers an excellent education to students aged 2-18. In Grades 9 and 10, the school offers a number of International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) courses, the German MSA (Mittlerer Schulabschluss) and in Grades 11 and 12, the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP). The IB DP is often described as the gold standard of international education. This allows our school the ability to adopt the best, internationally acclaimed enquiry-based learning process, whilst also fulfilling the requirements for Ersatzschulstatus (official recognition in the local school system).
Following an education at the Berlin British School, our students have been accepted into some of the top universities in Germany, the UK, the USA and the rest of the world.

How would you rate Berlin British School gGmbH (BBS)?
That's one of the worse experience I have never had. After 3 days in this school, we were refused because the kid was not at the good level. They even could understand that he was disoriented after so many test and exams. The teacher were not well prepared to welcome new students. That's my view but there is a lack of professionalism in the way they deal with the new students. I will not recommend at all and I don't agree on the kids selection that they follow.
There are several issues that need to be addressed with the school's approach to new students. Firstly, there is a lack of professional approach that is evident when new students join the class. This can create confusion and anxiety for the new students and can be detrimental to their overall experience at the school. Furthermore, the school does not provide sufficient support for these new students. This can be in the form of academic support or even emotional support. The lack of support can make it difficult for new students to adapt to a new environment and can lead to feelings of isolation and alienation. Another issue with the school is the shortage of professional teachers. Without experienced and knowledgeable teachers, the students' learning experience is compromised. This can lead to a lack of understanding of the material, which can ultimately lead to poor academic performance. Overall, these issues need to be addressed in order to create a more positive and productive learning environment for the students. By providing a professional and supportive approach, and ensuring that there are enough experienced teachers, the school can improve the experience for all students.

This school is very important to me, I learned my English here. It's amazing how good this school is at teaching languages, I was here for 3 years and learnt to speak perfect English and quite fluent German. I miss you, Berlin British School.

While in Germany, I spent six to eight years in bbs. I remember that the teachers were all good. They were kind and well cared for. I had a lot of activities and had a lot more fun than my Korean school life. It would have been nice if I could have been there longer, but I'm sorry that it's been less than a few years.
