Founded in 1991, the non-profit Bavarian International School (BIS) is one of the leading international schools in Europe. Approx. 1,250 students from more than 60 different nations between the ages of three and 19 attend the private all-day school. BIS has two campuses in Munich-Schwabing (Kindergarten and Primary School up to Grade 5) and Haimhausen about 15 km north of Munich (Kindergarten and Primary School up to Grade 5, Secondary School from Grade 6-12). Personalised education, innovative and holistic learning as well as an international mindset characterise the educational philosophy under the motto "Believe. Inspire. Succeed.". BIS also stands for state-of-the-art learning facilities, intensive counseling and learning support programs, comprehensive After School Activities and excellence in digitization and technology (e.g. coding, robotics). BIS is the only IB World School in Germany offering all four programmes of the International Baccalaureate Organisation (PYP, MYP, DP, CP). The average IB Diploma (DP) scores of BIS are significantly better than the global average year by year and illustrate the academic excellence. Especially the IB Diploma (DP) is the ticket to the best universities in the world including Germany.

BIS is and has been a great partner in our children's education. The management, the teachers and the parent community have made us feel like we are a part of a big family that helps raise happy, healthy, responsible and future ready children. The IB curriculum along with the grounding values that BIS instills are shaping our children as thinkers who care and understand impact of their actions and thoughts on the future of this planet and mankind. BIS City Campus is a friendly, inclusive school for children between the ages of 3 and 11. We have been at the school for little over a year and our 4th grader is very happy to be here. The school building is very bright and spacious throughout, and the playground is also well equipped - a luxury given we are in Munich City. Most importantly, the staff at City Campus (teaching as well as non-teaching staff) are all amazingly supportive and approachable. Thank you for all you do for the children!

So far, so good. We are finishing up the enrollment process as we speak for both of our little girls. Petra gave us an outstanding presentation on Thursday, tour of the school, etc. Outstanding company philosophy, smartboards, iPads, music room, gorgeous cafeteria, extra curricular activities, huge playgrounds, super clean and lots of smiling teachers which says a lot about the company itself.
