Individual Approach
Astor is a single-stream primary school with a maximum of 20 students per class. Your child will benefit from individual attention and a low teacher-student ratio that allows teachers to offer personalised education and to adjust lessons to students’ needs.
Effective Curriculum
Our curriculum is based on International Primary Curriculum (IPC), British English and Singapore Math. Our enquiry-based teaching methods benefit children by promoting curiosity and engagement and deepening comprehension.
Flexibility
Astor concentrates its core curriculum into a four-hour period and allows you to customise the rest of the day to suit your family and your child. Each school day, students can leave school at 1pm, stay for lunch and/or attend one of our many ECAs in areas like art, music, drama, sports, foreign languages and many more. The fees for our ECAs are flexible too. You can pay for them per term for a single class or purchase a full-week ECA package with all classes included.
Central Location
Our cozy campus at Tanglin provides the perfect environment for your child to enjoy their learning journey. Besides the spacious, naturally-lit classrooms, we have a library, an arts and craft room, two outdoor playgrounds and an indoor play space.

How would you rate Astor International School?
Astor International is an excellent school, a real family feel of teaching where all the staff interact and support the children. All staff know all of the children's names, supporting a real community of learning. The option of ECA's provides a great edition to learning and sports. Ms. Shannon de Winnaar the principal manages and guides a great team, we feel she is a great asset to the school. Our son has grown so much academically through Astor, and we would highly recommend this school in Singapore.

Dear Gareth, thank you for leaving us such a positive feedback. Indeed Shannon is the principal who cares about every child and creates an amazing culture in school. Our personalized approach allows every child to flourish academically and we are glad your son has benefited from it.Our son loves Razum – from his teachers and fellow students to the curriculum. We have found that Razum works to integrate compassion into their teaching standards, and emphasizes the importance of values. Being a smaller school, it allows for a lower student-to-teacher ratio, giving our son more confidence when asking questions. It also encourages kids to both engage in group activities, as well as providing opportunities for one-on-one time with their teachers. We find the teachers and staff passionate about seeing their students build their successes. They also know the importance of getting the parents involved should an issue arise, and do it in a very respectful and approachable manner. The Class Dojo mobile app (available to parents and grand-parents) is updated daily with progress from the teachers, sharing moments of pride and development they see within your child, good behaviours as well as each child's personal achievements. There is also a virtual currency reward system, allowing each child to either spend their virtual dollars (on small items from the school shop) on a weekly basis, or to promote saving up to buy something larger at a later stage - tools we feel are both fun and productive for any kid's early development. We happily and readily recommend Razum International to any parents that want their kids to not only learn a curriculum, but also have fun while doing it.

Dear Samantha, thank you for your feedback, it is a pleasure to be recognized for something that Astor was created for such as smaller class size, community and direct communication with parents.I had a pleasant experience with Razum starting from the admissions process ending with actual schooling. My daughter is 8 years old and she is quite shy and introverted, so it's not easy for her to go through interviews and exams. Razum's teachers and staff were very gentle, attentive, and amicable with her. She quietly told me that she likes the school and wants to study here. Also, my daughter is allergic to nuts and dairy, and Razum is very careful with my request.

Thank you, Brenada for such a positive review. My daughter was studying in Razum International School from the beginning of 2020 till this summer (P2 and P3). It was a great time for her and for us thanks to the school staff and our class teacher! The atmosphere in the school is very warm and friendly. The school has big and bright classrooms and a green playground outside. Highly skilled and enthusiastic teachers motivate children to study and learn new things. In addition, Razum school offers a great choice of ECA classes after school - we tried Lego, Nutrition kitchen, Fun fitness. My daughter loved it so much. Overall, I recommend this school as one of the best price-quality options in Singapore. We will miss our school a lot, but have to leave Singapore shortly.

Thank you Ben for leaving us a positive review. We are glad your child is enjoying the schooling with us.We had a horrible experience at RISS. The administration and staff members were extremely rude unfriendly and unprofessional. I guess we are not the only one who had a bad experience since so many other parents' decided to leave. We didn't feel comfortable sending our child to this school at all. For example, in the holiday camp program, there is a disclaimer that if the child has a behavior problem, school will call the parents and the parents must pick up the child within 30 minutes. The child is not allowed to be back for the rest of the camp, and no refund will be made. If the parents cannot pick up the child within 30 minutes, additional charge will be added. This policy sums up the general attitude of this school.

Dear Enako, We would like to apologize for your previous experience. Since then we have gone through lots of changes including a change in management and rebranding. The shareholder who was insisting on such policies has left and we have changed our camp provider. Unfortunately, I am not able to find your name among previous parents and it is not clear from the review if your child has actually been enrolled in the school. Please, email us and I will send you a discount code for our new camp provider.Reviews from Google
