How would you rate Anglo Singapore International School - Sukhumvit 64?
With a challenging curriculum and passionate teachers, this school is a launchpad for success. Sure, exams and homework feel like training for the Study Olympics
The school is very convenient and its vey close to BTS. Academic is top notch! Outstanding Cambridge results like Top in the World and Top in Thailand. They do teach Korean curriculum. One of the best schools in bangkok.
As an educator who cares deeply about the quality of education, I cannot stay silent about my disappointing experience with this school. Despite its affiliation with the Cambridge examination system, the reality on the ground falls short of expectations. One of the most concerning issues is the micromanagement imposed by the Head of the Mathematics Department, which stifles the creativity and autonomy of teachers. This constant scrutiny creates an unhealthy working environment and hampers their ability to effectively engage with students. Furthermore, the decision to blend the Cambridge curriculum with elements of the Singaporean syllabus has resulted in a confusing mishmash that leaves students struggling to grasp essential mathematical concepts. The lack of coherence in the syllabus causes unnecessary stress for both students and parents. It's disheartening to see a school prioritize quantity over quality. The insistence on incorporating both curricula has created a convoluted learning experience for students, who find it challenging to navigate between the two systems. This approach not only fails to do justice to the essence of each curriculum but also reflects a lack of strategic planning and vision from the school administration. While the attempt to cater to multiple syllabi may be well-intentioned, the execution at this school has proven counterproductive. Instead of enriching the educational experience, it has led to confusion, frustration, and a notable decline in the students' overall academic performance. As a concerned educator, I urge the school administration to reconsider their approach and prioritize the quality of education for their students. It is with great disappointment that I must express my dissatisfaction with this school. The excessive micromanagement from the HOD and the confusing mix of curricula have made the educational journey a frustrating experience for both students and teachers. I implore the school administration to re-evaluate their approach and prioritize a more efficient and effective educational strategy. Our students deserve nothing less than the best education possible, and it is the responsibility of the school to provide it.
Teachers here are qualified, Good standard of teaching and have strong academics especially in Mathematics, Science, and Chinese curriculum

If world class, international education is important to you, then this school is the right one for you. The high standard education shapes children's critical thinking and independent learning skills since the early years, presented in highly relevant problem-based learning. It does feel that Anglo is a tough school, or very academic, but the rigor shapes students' learning and studying habits and prepares them for higher education.

I have had a great experience at Anglo. The academic approach of the school teaches students the value of 'hard work' and instils a sense of pride in the way they go about overcoming challenges.

One of their teachers here intimidated me and treated me like a bunch load of feces. He called me disrespectful and irresponsible, as if teachers aren’t responsible for the failures of their students but it’s their students who are 100% accountable for being uncomfortable learning with them. Teach your teachers how to treat their students in a less intimidating way not calling them stupid or other lame insults.

I used to go to this school but as a young girl all I remember is my childhood being stripped away from me. The teachers aren't that great. They don't really teach your children. All they do is briefly explain and for kids who learn differently, they don't help you. All they do is scold you for not doing things right. There also are bullies at this school and the school hasn't done much about it. Their food isn't great and I remember a kid vomiting due to what she ate. In conclusion this isn't a great school to go to and I certainly don't recommend going here unless you want your children growing up miserably. I've moved to another school now and I'm certainly happier here.
