About American International School of Vietnam (AISVN)

At American International School of Vietnam (AISVN), each student is prepared for leadership in our global community while maintaining a strong set of values based on their cultural heritage. The AISVN student body is 90% Vietnamese and we are very proud to provide a rigorous international IB education sustained by Vietnamese family values. We support our high standards with a variety of programs -- preeminently our English As An Additional Language Program -- and teaching strategies that ensure we identify and address the learning needs of each and every child because we know that every child can learn.

Established in 2006, AISVN has grown from serving children on four campuses in our first years to serving more than 1,200 students today, ranging from Early Years (3 year olds) to Grade 12. Our expansive campus provides the facilities and space to enable our continued growth and a beautiful learning environment.

Our commitment and experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme is evident from the success of our students and graduates. AISVN graduates go on to study at top universities around the world, and our alumni gather regularly to network and exchange ideas.

This school is extremely bad to it's very core and is filled with organised stalkers of the most deranged form. My assignment work is filled with elicitations invoking attempts at covert psychological abuse and torture, it's like the material was written by an autistic psychopath. They are like reverse social justice warriors, as they ALWAYS choose to impersonate people who have done horrible things to me and use elicitations in the learning material trying to invoke past traumas about people from the past. It's very devious and clearly orchestrated by some form of autistic psychopath. The avenues for student support just plain suck, this is also an avenue where the "team" will impersonate people also and create more avenues for the attempts at abuse, it's pathetic. What's worse is people actually get into debt for these things and we basically pay for our own torture. And that not all if you read the news this school have been acussed by parents for dodging debts. As stated in the contract, the loan is interest-free, and the school will pay it within 90 days after the students move to another school or finish their 12th grade, but parents end receiving zero-interest loans from them to let their children study for free but had failed to deliver as promised. I was one of them, I graduate the school in 2023 and as stated in the contract when I graduate the school have to pay my family the money back but the school has paid us nothing

I was once a AISVN before graduating and study at RMIT in the major of Food Technology & Nutrients. As my old friends from AISVN (who now go to other countries to study) and the teachers in both AISVN and the university I'am in, I have a diagnosed with cystic fibrosis of the lungs, an inherited disorder that causes severe damage to the lungs and a form of muscular dystrophy ever since grade 5 and had to constantly drink medicines which made my study harder. But my old school AISVN is where I had most of my worst experiences as they fail to support students with health problems like me AISVN students do not have access special needs services such as adjustments to your conditions , course materials in other formats, assistive technology. I have a friend who was visually impaired and also study in AISVN, and because of her eye problems she needed an assist guided dog but AISVN does not allow it which makes it really hard for her. And because of my health problems, I was excluded from extracurricular activities, like clubs or on-campus events. And the teacher in my class treat me terribly and gave me low grade than other students. When I ask for support, they didn't bother to look at me because I have health problems, as mention before, cystic fibrosis of the lungs and a form of muscular dystrophy

I'am a Florida International University second year student in dual majors Forensic Science and Biomedical Enigeering. My experience with the university is extreme good, however I want to say to you guys that my experience with my former AISVN is extremely bad and here is why: I enrol in their school seven months before the first class start, and while I wait for confirmationn, I’ve found out they didn’t enrolled me in July/August (August 3rd is the start day of school) because they did not inform me to pick a enrolment date and the upcoming consensus date for the second course. I’ve made two complaints about my experience and they admitted it was their fault and a few students did made similar complaints but won’t enrolled me in their July/August intake. Therefore they failed to deliver the service on time and basically neglected my enrolment for the second part of the study course. I decided to take it further with AISVN's complaints department for compensation for the bad service I’ve received, the case manager reviewed my complaint and chased up it with AISVN staff. They then gave me a follow up and cited that AISVN doesn’t have the responsibility to inform students about such dates as it’s the student’s responsibility, don’t care if they did not provide the service in my preferred timeframe and I’ve notice a discrepancy that AISVN fully stated they never similar complaints like mine despite some of my classmates experience the same situation like mine also lodge their complaints. Substandard quality of education and extremely low quality of students; most still think they’re in high school and their antics reflect this. No one here has the priority to learn well and get high grades. Do not believe the utopia presented in online marketing videos. This place is a really bad tertiary version of a really bad public high school; I’ll bet that’s where most of their students come from. When you had concerns or questions or complains about the school, it taking hours and days wasted of holding the line to get customer service to answer the phone. And then when they do, you will be profoundly disappointed as rude and incompetent customer service staff will hurriedly dismiss your inquiries claiming to be busy, without resolving the problem or hand balling the problem to another department. The circle of idiocy continues.

Please be wary of AISVN (American International School of Vietnam) in Ho Chi Minh City. Below is an example of just some of the things that have happened: For the month of November, Vietnamese staff were paid 6 weeks late and have currently not been paid their 13 month salary (TET bonus) or December salary. Healthcare for Vietnamese staff cancelled despite this being a legal requirement where Vietnamese staff pay 20% of their salary towards this each month. Admin refuses to address current financial situation. Extremely high staff turn over last year. Low staff morale, staff are scared to voice opinions. Some parent protests at the school because they believe the school owes them money. Healthcare for expatriate staff cancelled for a week with only a days notice due to financial difficulties. Staff contracts state that staff members earn below 400 USD each month in order to stay below the tax threshold.

I had a great time here overall, the school is always supportive and the teachers are always nice and friendly for you to be the best you can be. The staffs are friendly, though kinda overpriced with everything, it is a great school.

Excellent school, outside and inside looks royal. Teachers are motivating the students while they are doing the teachers work as I walk and look through the school.
