I went to Al Shomoukh Global School and graduated in 2021. I am extremely appreciative of the teachers' and staff's assistance. The auxiliary educators were especially engaging, and because of their direction, my schoolmates and I had the option to get spots at top colleges in the US, UK, and different areas of the planet. I was lucky to get a full grant from the Public authority of Oman to go to Columbia College in the US. Adding more sports facilities and extracurricular programs to help students expand their knowledge and interests beyond the classroom are a few ideas for the school leadership. In 2018's IGCSE and A-level exams, we performed better than many international schools. In the 11th through 12th grades, there is a lot of competition, and everyone wants to be the best in their class. The graduation function coordinated by the Administrator group was really astonishing.

The school unfortunately falls short in various aspects. Some of which are alarming. The institution appears to prioritise profit over employees, often paying late while asserting legality. Copies of the contracts are handed to employees extremely late. State-of-the-art facilities are lacking, and the quality of education is subpar. The school's technology infrastructure is virtually nonexistent, contributing to the overall shortcomings of the educational environment. The institution appears to prioritise profit over employee well-being, often paying staff late while asserting legality. Copies of the contracts are handed to employees extremely late. Poor management is evident through delayed decision-making, disregard for staff welfare (e.g not renewing contracts until the very last moments leaving teachers with responsibility stranded), and overwork with inadequate compensation. Communication with staff is an issue, highlighting a stakeholder-driven focus that marginalises teachers. High staff turnover, absence of teaching qualifications, and student promises not matching the classroom reality, diminish the educational quality. The presence of unqualified, underpaid teachers compromises the learning environment. Management seems preoccupied with "higher management," impacting their ability to address basic facility needs. The excessive number of lessons prioritises quantity over quality. The practice of charging students for equipment but delivering it late raises concerns. Student behavior management is lacking, and numerous distracting events overshadow education (e.g Fifa tournament for grade 12 students a few weeks before exams). These events seem more geared towards boosting the image on social media rather than fostering true education. Overall, this poorly managed institute, likely reflected in its lower fees, creates an environment where staff are set up to fail and students and parents are deceived about quality. Furthermore, the inconsistency and delayed responses from HR exacerbate the issues. Staff members experience unequal treatment, with HR being quick to scrutinise and slow to acknowledge their efforts. The odd dinner night, where the higher management are absent, does not cover up for the months of torture. The company culture, worsened by the presence of only one HR director until recently, fosters an environment that caters to HRs personal and corrupt motives. Parents pay fees with the expectation of receiving a quality service, but sadly, they are often unaware of the internal realities. If anything adverse takes place its the teachers fault and never the management. Management are always flamboyant on the phone with parents undermining teachers. Despite the dedication and hard work of teachers, their potential is severely limited due to the school's problematic management practices. Even as teachers depart, they are not provided with proper references, and their contributions go unrecognised.

I used to attend Al Shomoukh International School and I graduated in 2021. I will always be very appreciative to the staff and my teachers. I honestly was very impowered by the secondary teachers prior to my graduation and that is why myself and my classmates made it to the top universities in the US, UK and other parts of the world. I was able to receive a full scholarship from the Government of Oman thankfully to join Columbia University in the United Stated. Few recommendations to the school leaders to add additional sporting facilities and extracurricular programs for students to expand their knowledge and interest apart of academics. In 2018 we were able to beat many international schools with the IGCSE exams and A-levels. Students vary but mostly in the upper grades from grade 11 – 12 competition quicks and everyone strives to be the top in the class. Amazing graduation ceremony by the Admin team..

It was a great journey for me to graduate from one of the prestigious schools in Oman. The educational achievements along side the support I have received now is allowing me to utilized the learning experiences on the next phase of my life. Apart from the learning experience, I would highly suggest that the Alshomoukh develops sporting facilities and I believe the overall expectations will be towards its future goals to stand out as one of the fastest growing schools in Oman and the region.

Al Shomoukh International School is a top rated, International school, located in Al Seeb area. It has 850 students in grades ks1-12. Tuition is one of the most competitive compared to all international schools for the highest grade offered. After graduation, 100% of students from this school go on to attend a 4-year college. I have been beyond impressed with SIS. All of the staff have been so respectful and responsive to student and parent needs, often coming to us with solutions before we need to reach out with questions. The school is making adjustments to create more balance for students, and has been extremely supportive during the pandemic. As a parent with children at SIS and a different public school, I am extremely grateful for the level of attention and excellence that is provided to students, and their efforts to give back to the community through numerous service events.
