About ACS Jakarta
ACS Jakarta is an International Baccalaureate World School and an authorized Cambridge Centre offering a world standard education to children from 3 - 18. Set in a safe, semi-rural environment located off the Jorr Tol at Kelurahan Setu, approximately 15 kilometers south-east of central Jakarta, it is within easy reach of Jakarta 's main residential areas in South and North Jakarta. We believe in bringing our students to their full potential and by preparing them for their next stage in education by offering a well-rounded and challenging curriculum.
Our children also learn the importance of having good character and values via our devotions and our pupil development and religion lessons. Our Kindergarten students focus on personal, social and emotional development, giving them more self-confidence and independence preparing them for Primary School. They also get the basics of language (English, Indonesian and Mandarin), and mathematics.

How would you rate ACS Jakarta?
The teachers cannot deal with discipline in the school, so however good the facilities and academics are, the students cannot improve well.
This coming directly from a parent of a year 12 student in ACS Jakarta (my daughter has been there since Pre-K): If you are looking for a school that will nurture your child's talent in math and sciences, look no further than ACS Jakarta. This school is known for its rigorous curriculum and high standards that challenge and inspire the students to excel in STEM fields. Many of the graduates from ACS Jakarta have been accepted to prestigious universities around the world, such as MIT, Oxford, and Harvard. However, if your child is more interested in arts than in numbers and formulas, you might want to look elsewhere. ACS Jakarta is not the place for budding artists, musicians, or writers. The school does not offer much support or opportunities for creative expression, and the students who pursue arts often feel left out and discouraged. As a result, many of them end up switching schools or dropping out altogether. So, unless your child is a math or science prodigy, you might want to consider other options for their education.
ACS has a really good academic quality. I have been studying there for 6 years and the way teachers support us and help us is really great. I can improve a lot! ACS Jakarta teachers and staff also really caring and helpful. All the best ACS Jakarta!

I've been a student here for 11 years. i can share my positives and negatives: POSITIVES -The school has really good and complete facilities. There are art rooms, science labs, tennis courts, swimming pools, football fields, libraries,a special IB library. - Qualified and experienced teachers - fun house events and fun special event days - Graduates consistently get into top universities - Fees are slightly cheaper than other private schools - Bullying is nonexistent here NEGATIVES -Its only fun in primary school, secondary school is not fun at all here, literally everyone in my grade hates it here. -everyone has to bring their own stationery from home, the school doesn't supply it. -The discipline in secondary school is authoritarian - Subject and curriculum is very difficult - So many teachers leave this school each year, including those who have been here for only 1 year. -If you are a struggling student, do not choose this school.

The education is great for STEM but for any creative activities like Music, Arts or Performing Arts, this school handles awfully. Above that, its rules are very old-fashioned and its price is insane compared to other private, but less well-known, schools. As a student, this school is not easy. Some of my friends left the school (and one student was ever hospitalised) due to how tough it was. Please try your best to find a different school for the well-being of your child. Overall, not recommended
