At Stockholms Internationella Montessoriskola (STIMS) there is a genuine interest in international issues, both among children, adolescents and adults at the school. Therefore, the ways of living and conditions of different cultures as well as concrete language training in English are therefore a priority element in everyday activities. The teaching is a mixture of individual work during the montessori pass as well as teacher-led lessons. The children are the ones who create the future. We adults should act as their role models. How the adult world responds to children today will affect them for the rest of their lives.  All Stockholms Internationella Montessoriskola children follow a general human development plan in both physical and mental development. Development takes place in a specific order. Montessori pedagogy is based on pediatrician Maria Montessori's own studies, observations and on the experience-based research she conducted throughout her life in both national and international contexts.
