How would you rate Scandinavian School of Madrid?
A very unique and caring school - which is loved by students and teachers alike. The school is primarily focused on student engagement in lessons in order to develop student interest, with the strong aim to continually develop teaching and learning.
Best school in Madrid! I don't think there is any other place in the city like this. Teachers, students, and parents are so happy. My kid feels at home.
The children go happy to the school. Kids learn responsibility and respect to teacher and each other naturally. Parents are always welcome to come around.
Nice green areas. Infrastructure for sports, arts, and science suffers somewhat from limited space and funds, but is after big recent renovations now sufficient. The focus on music and performing arts is working great. The teachers find the (sometimes hidden) skills in every kid, it is amazing! The school is also well equipped with instruments and related items. However, facilities for other arts and craft are very limited (again limited space and funding), but suffice to follow curriculum. The school has two sections; a Scandinavian and an international. I can only speak for the Scandinavian. Teachers are good and work with small groups. The kids really enjoy going to school and from what I can judge they also learn well. The atmosphere between the kids is very good. We have had our kids in this school for several years now and will continue.

I'm so happy and motivated in this school as a teacher. I was constantly impressed by the professionalism and dedication of the teaching staff. The small class sizes allows for individualized instruction and most students receive personal attention and help from each teacher if they need it. The Scandinavian methodology is unique and fantastic. I recommend this experience to anyone and at any age... Come and meet us!
El mejor cuidado y educación para los más pequeños. Atención personalizada con 2 profesores para aprox.10-12 niñ@s donde aprender desde el respeto, con valores y divirtiéndose es fundamental.
Mis hijos de 6 y 12 años, llevan desde los 3 años en el cole y van felices. El colegio es pequeño y eso favorece un ambiente familiar y cercano con los profesores. La educación escandinava incentiva la autoestima y la empatía. También nos gustó por la importancia que se le da a la música. Además es totalmente en inglés en la rama internacional, con la posibilidad de aprender otros idiomas como sueco, francés o alemán.
i wish I had been at this school as a child. My son is there and it is the most welcoming, warm and caring school I have seen. It s a fantastic learning environment based on positive and inclusive approach. My child loves the school and can't wait to go back after each holiday. The classes are small, and the teachers are strong and very close to the pupils. The headmaster is excellent and the spirit of the school is very wholesome and forward looking. No need to trust reviews, just go and visit the school yourself on an open day. You'll see the difference right away.
The atmosphere in the school is really good. The Open mind and critical thinking is clearly an asset. The arts and music have special attention in the school, which complements the good level of Maths and science. I would say this school is a nice place for kids where learning become a funny and interesting task for pupils. The school is caring about the whole education, not only about the academic contents but also the person as anunique and different Human Being.
The first thing we were told when visiting the school is that children need to be happy to efficiently learn and develop... 3 years later we couldn’t be happier, it was definitely the best choice. Our son is happy, he is thriving, and learning not only academics through the Cambridge curriculum, but Music, Art and social skills. The school teaches Kiva (Finish anti-bullying approach) - just another demonstration of what great values and environment are taught in this buzzy, warm and friendly school.
I think the Swedish system is really good for the kids as it allows them to develop in different areas beyond just academic and enjoy their childhood without excessive stress.
Very pleased with the school!! Fantastic teacher, great atmosphere and that specific Scandinavian touch... Highly recommended!!!
An excellent place for learning
Great International School with a strong modern North European flavour. All classes in English, mostly taught by native English speakers. Small school community with a very personal approach.
This school has a consistently positive approach to education. Students are supported in growing and developing as both learners and individuals. It has a warm and open community environment, where staff, students and parents alike feel welcome and valued.
It's a school that acknowledge every student in a positivte manner in more ways than one . But more importantly it's a school the students feel comfortable at due to many reasons, the educators beeing one.
A familiary feeling and welcoming atmosphere at the school. A mix of spanish-, scandinavian- and from other countries-students. One part of the school is international (english language) and the other part is scandinavian (swedish language). Our children love their school and the techers!

Happy kids! My daughters love the school, year after year they are always enthusiastic to go to clases. Good atmosphere, easy access to teachers and board. Friendly and caring about kids. Relaxed ambience. Excellent work in the prevention of bullying. High level of English. No plans to change!
It is an excellent school where students feel fred to develop in a positive environment baserad on democratic values..... I choose to have my children there......

It is a very open minded school. The children are treated as adults and they give very important attention to details in education.
In today's times, the important thing about school is that they teach to manage knowledge and emotions. The Scandinavian School is small and in that lies its strength, each student is treated in a personalized way so everyone makes the best out of his/her academic path. Teachers are excellent and know how to keep students highly motivated, the principal is available at all times, and there is a pleasant and international atmosphere everywhere. I can´t think of a better place for my kids.
Es un colegio pequeño con mucha cercanía a la dirección y a los profesores. Pedagogía escandinava y currículum de Oxford. Ambiente excelente. Mis hijos están encantados de acudir al colegio todos los días.
A diferent school, focus in the child, in everyone, because every kid is different and the diferences are the best. Because every child have good things to apport to the rest and everyone is an important part of this school. Parents, siblings and all the school´s staff are an important part of the school. We are family, ths school is little in size, but all the school´s comunity makes it a big school.
There is no better atmosphere for children than that of the Scandinavian school

An absolute dream. Small classes, personalized support, fantastic values, low staff turn over and, most important, a genuine interest in children’s well being and happiness.
Students and teachers are like a big family. If the students have any question whether its schoolmatters or outside school they always can turn to them for help and thats very nice for us parents to know. Size of the school and the mix of younger and older students is also very good.
More a big family than a school and that's a compliment!

It’s a lovely school with caring and experienced staff. It has a big playground and a safe environment for the children. We are very happy with the school!
It has an excellent group of teachers who develop personally the skills of each pupil. The methods and activities are based on present technologies so all contributes to achive better results in each casey.

I think it's the best school in the world. We are like a big family where everyone take care of each other. We have a lot of different subjects like, cooking, sewing, musicprofile wood works etc. It is a school for a life long learning.
Most subjects are taught in the Swedish language in the scandinavian section, and the children, no matter where they are from, don't lose there mother tongue. They are educated in a free environment, where they are able to give their opinion and are heard.

Great atmosphere in an international environment. The mix of British and Scandinavian methodology creates an education system based in the respect for others and interest for subjects. The size of the School helps to know all the kids and the best way to get their best.
My oldest daughter, after a very nice high school period at the Scandinavian school of Madrid, got enough grades to get into Medicine in Madrid!!!. Super performance of the school and, of course, of my daughter. Best combination.

I love the Scandinavian School! I love the atmosphere and the philosophy. It has real values and everyone is treated as an individual. The kiva programme works really well and the health team and the teachers are amazing! It’s like a family!!! Definitely recommend it!!!
Really nice, green and friendly environment for the students. They provide the students the tools and ways to find the knowledge, that lets them develop their interest and really learn matters and values, not just read different courses. So nice and approachable staff.

Colegio pequeño dirigido y gestionado por un grupo de grandes profesionales muy implicados con la enseñaza y cuidado de los niños. Linea 1 internacional y sueca. Desarrollo musical y artistico. Trilingüe En preescolar siguen el curriculum sueco con aprendizaje a través del juego y la experimentación. La mejor opción educativa.
