When I first came to this school, the teachers and security gruards were kind. I was exited on this new school. While waiting for the class to start, I saw that everyone was on their laptop, since I was at the back, I can see what they were watching, I ask the teacher are they alowed. The teacher say that they tried many times to tell them to stop but they didn't. The following days, I just keep seeing more and more students watching, even the front rows. One time, I decided to play the drum doing music class while everyone was playing their ipads and stuff while the teacher was busy. The students yell at me saying "Do you think this is your house?!!" Not able to hold it anymore and I yell back saying " IF THIS ISNT A HOUSE THEN WHY YOU ALL USE YOUR LAPTOP WHEN U SHOULDN'T?!! IM DOING SOMETHING THAT IS ALLOWRD AND YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING THAT ISNT, AND YOU DARE TALK BACK?!!" By this point I know that the students don't even know what's right what's wrong, I talk to the counciling teacher about how I feel bad for the teacher on how they have to deal with all of the students(I only been in this school for a few weeks) So really, everything about this school is good, the only bad thing is the students, I asked had they think of any ideas of stopping the students, and the teacher say they're still thinking. I hope they will actually stop them from keep watching their laptop (Side note) One them the school doesn't have WiFi and the students are so desperate of playing their laptops that they are willing to play the offline dinosaur game.

I have been studying in fairview for more than 5 years now, and I need to say I've learned and mastered a lot of skills and the teachers are really good there. The classrooms are not that maintained but the other facilities are fabulous. Such as the dominus art value. Highly recommended!

I’ve studied there.. it’s horrific if you actually asked students and tested the morale of staff and students. Teachers are very low quality and complain more than anything. facilities are bad, basketball court is all cracked, classes are poorly maintained.

Fairview is terrible compared to when it was 2016, many other schools are better and give you better opportunities, rather than fairview, they barely work on the education, and waste money on music, the students are only 80 or 100 in kl, this school is now terrible, because sports and education is below adequate or just adequate for an average student

The worst school ever. Management doesn’t care about students attitude and well being. No IB value. All they want is money. Students are not performing well. My daughter is failing but they don’t help. Shortage of teachers. Not well trained. No support.

My daughter joined Fairview International School Kuala Lumpur since 2017. She really enjoys her learning journey in Fairview. I am happy to see my child's progress...really impressed. She has become an independent child, she learns different languages like mandarin as second language. Another amazing skill is music, she play violin.

Fairview International School Kuala Lumpur (Wangsa Maju) is an IB school. IB students develop strong academic, social and emotional characteristics. They are also likely to perform well academically – often better than students on other curricula. Unlike most other boards where teacher evaluation remains an issue, Fairview trains its teacher to meet the demands of the students using various IB strategies. Students passing out of IB accredited schools develop a habit of lifelong learning. The students are trained not to be afraid of approaching uncertainties. They are taught to be independent, explore new strategies, ideas and be expressive enough to be able to defend their beliefs. They tend to grow up to be principled individuals, acting with integrity and honesty, further augmented by sense of fairness and respect for individuals. I have seen my kids evolve to become more principled and open minded. They are so independent and can do their tasks well. The teachers are very caring towards the kids and the leadership team immediately works on any issues that may arise. The students are not only strong in their content knowledge but develop mastery in skills such as thinking, research, communication, social and self-management too. They are ready to face the challenges of the world. I have happy to have chosen this school for my children.

Our 7th year with Fairview; why? 1. Over the years, our children are taught in a structured and consistent IB approach.  The IB approach is instilled in them, turning into good habits. We like the way our children conduct research, overcome challenges and accomplish tasks.  Now that our children are in Middle Year, they are trained not just to understand how a certain topic has an impact to society, but more importantly to share their point of view on the topic. 2.  Music for their right brain. Besides education, one of the best gift Fairview gave our children is the appreciation of music.  Our children were trained on their choice of instrument and were given opportunities to learn and perform alongside musicians. 3. The yearly 4-day camp in Port Dickson, and the twice a year excursions were interrupted due to the pandemic.  We hope situation will improve and those sessions can resume. Undoubtedly, our children mature most during those events when they are away from their comfort zone. As a next project, we hope to be able to leverage on Fairview IB school in Scotland.  This would provide an enriching exposure for our children.

Both my kids study in FAIRVIEW KL campus. My kids have grown to become lifelong learners and I am proud to say that they are really independent. They truly reflect the IB learner profile attributes as they are inquirers, risk takers, communicators and definitely principled. They have developed the skills to help them cope with future challenges. Unlike other schools, they also learn Mandarin and they play string instruments like the violin which is one of the school’s unique features. The teachers and leaders are so supportive too. Fairview Kuala Lumpur is definitely a school to consider as it offers a great IB education for all.

Fairview International School Subang Jaya has put in lots of effort making the online classes from when it started and to the level, it is now. With the current pandemic situation we are going through a lot of challenges which are good problems and also brought some of us out of our comfort zone. We as parents got to pull through by ourselves and it was very interesting when I was helping my daughter with her diorama on animal adaptation and habitat. Adaptation seems to fit well for me during pandemic. As for school during Q2 online ( mix of KL and SJ) it was a rocking start for teachers , students and parents but eventually we sailed through and settled quickly . Also I appreciate help from KL teachers and lots of assistants from FVSJ Ms.Shirly's team ever ready to assist with emails and phone calls during class . I was lost for the start, especially for Rishika . For Q3 lots of us were expecting a physical classroom and the stress will be off and never expected to go online . Looking at the current situation online will go one for some time . This is where I had lots of concern with education and what's going to happen. It's not fair to post all issues to teachers only. So I took it to another level of going through timetable versus google classroom for each subject . From my finding for my younger daughter's google classroom was updated . It was really fantastic to see the subject slide and assignment . This gives me an overview on how I can assist Rishika. In Q3 , I observed a big change ,P3 SJ students were able to share more compared when they are combined with KL. Guess with them back in their own class room and friends , a lot more communication with teachers . Class rooms seem to be more alive with busy Q&A. These kids have been together for a few years and in the physical classroom . Also for us parents we have been in and out of school and we know the teachers well . I do see the importance of you having the morning coffee meeting and teachers parents days . This really helps in times of pandemic where teacher and parents communication is so essential .Previously ,without fail Ms.Ranjana was filling up the gaps between teachers and parents . Now Ms. Shirly is filling up the gap helping us with any issue with regards to our queries . Please don't get me wrong I'm sure across all FV campuses all great things are happening , here I'm sharing my experience at FVSJ. As for Nirjah ,on some subjects there were no updates in google classroom. So I emailed the subject teachers Ms.Desy and Mr.Alaaeddin explaining what my challenges were and what was missing . One of the best parts of all teachers at FVSJ is their prompt response to emails with reply . If there was a survey I would give a full score for parents' and teachers communication. They did explain to me what was going and will soon update google classroom. Appreciate their support.

am the parent of two girls aged 9 and 10 years old. Both joined Fairview International school Subang Jaya 4 years ago and they are now in P4 and P5, respectively. I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to all the past and present teachers for their tireless and dedicated efforts in nurturing them. All the teachers are very friendly, caring, patience and made IB learning so much fun, interesting and practical during lessons. In Fairview International school Subang Jaya, it is not just textbook Knowledge alone imparted to my girls but they also learned the IB's Approach To Learning (ATL) skills. The ATL skills help them to develop thinking, social, self Management, research and communication skills. I am happy to see that today, my daughters are very independent, caring and positive in life. Even though most of the classes are conducted via online since last year due to Covid-19 pandemic. The online classes are excellent and very well planned. My girls always looking forward to join the online class every morning. I would like to thanks the school for providing the best on-line learning experience.

As a parent ourselves, we were looking for an education system that help the children to learn and develop soft skills like leadership, teamwork, collaboration, communication and feedback and more. Why? Because those are essential skills for the children when they are in the working environment, regardless self-employ or employment. We came to know IB, another education system beside the well known IGCSE. We are happy that we enrolled our son to Fairview Subang back in Aug 2019. How did we make our decision? Thankfully Fairview provided 3 days trial class. During the 3 days trial class, our children get to join the actual class, learning the same thing, doing the same school work, participate in all activities. There is no special arrangement for trial, everything as what it is in the actual school. We still remembered that our children told us every day how they like the school for the 3 days trial class. The classes were not boring. There were many activities, many discussions, many thought sharing and more. On the last day, our children presented us what they had learn, through small performance or work presentation. It was quite astonishing to see how they managed to learn in 3 days and involved themselves into the class so fast. After the trial class, our children made friends and they continued to contact with each other even though we didn’t enroll our children. The enrolment was after 2 years. Well, we didn’t immediately enrolled both of them, because we would like to understand more. We spent time to talk to teacher, learning how the school work and IB. One of the thing that we like about IB is teachers encourage feedback and opinion sharing, helping the children to do reflection to develop themselves. We also went to education fair, and we went with open minded to learn about other system. We talk to many schools, IB or IGCSE or specialty skill type of school. At the end, we came to our decision with IB. We see IB equally emphasize on academic, critical soft skills and exposure to different activities. First year, he danced on stage as Michael Jackson, won the performance competition. He went to orphan house to help and contribute back to the society. He learned about some survival skill and he taught us that. And in academic, he is awarded with the distinction award. Second year, unfortunately due to pandemic, outdoor activities are removed. However, that doesn’t stop the activities, he did pod casting to public, he joined Kangaroo math competition, won ASMO school round (science) competition. In academic, he was again awarded with distinction award and this year he also awarded with global citizenship award. The school provides children with opportunities, learning platform and teachers play very big role. Teachers help the children to develop their skill and specialty, all rounded. During the pandemic, my son is having class online at home. From there, I can see how teachers are teaching.

BREAKTHROUGH TALK-FAIRVIEW INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL SUBANG JAYA CAMPUS May we take this opportunity to thank the school, Ms Tee, Ms Munira, Ms Shirley, Ms Cinthia, teachers and all the staff for all the hard work you all put in and the IB curriculum, which have brought out the best in our child, Saneli P4. And during her Breakthrough talk, she was able to showcase her academic achievements Fairview International Subang Campus, along with her extra curricular activities she does, showing further that she has become a well balanced and well rounded child. It was a great opportunity and a great platform for her to shine and showcase her talents. We are deeply and humbly thankful for this golden ticket for Saneli Amaaya to rise up further and challenge herself more to do greater things in her academic and non academic, as well as be balanced and be that kind, generous, helpful child she is and always has been. Yes! she indeed wanted to encourage and inspire others to try and balance academic and non academic life well. And they can do it if she can too! On top of offering high quality IB Programme, Fairview International School Subang Jaya also provided opportunity for Saneli to present the virtual Breakthrough Talk with a student from Fairview UK campus. This is a life changing moment for our daughter! Thank you Ms Munira and Ms Shirley for guiding her to do a great presentation during her Breakthrough Talk! May all of you be blessed and be safe! FISKL is one of the most down to earth schools in KL. It never fails to give us a true connection between a teacher and a parent. I see, both my kids are growing with the helping hands of great care and nurturing. We would much appreciated the entire team spirit that works behind. During this pandemic, we found FISKL is more focused about children's wellbeing (our 1st concern) and continues to elaborate their support and care towards each and every kid. Yes, some teachers show bias and inclination towards identified kids, and others miss the chance to be treated equally. Still, my kids are enjoying their school (what else I can ask for more

Was told that school follows IB framework and the syllabus in which they follow is UK CURRICULUM. Admission for year 1 is 5-7 years old. The first day of school in math class year 1, the teacher taught bigger than, smaller than and equals. Value of numbers from 0-100. Subsequently, it was ascending, descending orders of number ranging from 0-80, place values tens and ones, number line, column method to add and subtract 2 numbers larger than 10, rounding adjustment, solving number problems, anchor chart, word problems, commutative property of addition and subtraction...to name a few. All these in 5-6 weeks. You decide if it is good. Talking to the school and senior leadership team?...many times. Outcome....I withdrew my kids and needless to say, lost the security deposits.

I used to send my son to Fairview Subang from Grade 1 to Grade 5 before he moves to Another School, but to be honest I regrets which I found The IB Programme are much better than IGCSE. Especially when I noticed after the New Principle Ms Tee has taken over the Subang Fairview. Thinking of to move back soon for the next year.

Fairview Subang, this institution started out good but that was 6 years ago. And sad to say as the years went by it deteriorated and can be seen with the number of students enrolled at the school today When my daughter first attended the school as a first grader there was about 235 students. But each year the students pulled out and enrolled into better international schools. It was so bad that the total students enrolled for the 2020 - 2021 school year was only a mere 70 kids. Goes to show how bad the school deteriorated. Why is this so? Simple cause the principal at the main campus, Vincent Chian didnt give a hoot about the Subang campus at all. Shouldnt the principal go talk to the students teachers and parents to actually find out the concerning matters about the school there? That is correct he didnt even bother to go to the school and talk to the faculty parents or students. And mind you Vincent Chian is also a member of the board of directors of Fairview Int'l School there. To top this, when the school year 2020 / 2021 was about to commence, the parents along with the subang faculty were only informed that the school will not be opening for the new school. And this was 2 weeks before the new school year was going to start. As such we were all in shock and so were the teachers. And to our dismay when a town hall meeting was held yes the principal from the main campus, Vincent Chian wasnt even present at all. That is correct he wasnt there and didnt even have the guts to actually meet the parents who were really ticked off with the short notice. The school is that bad and as such it didnt deserve any ratings at all here. It isnt even an IB school for the kids take the IGCSE exams and only for those who want to take the IB diploma will take the IB exam. Fairview what a joke

Its an amazing school that focuses on what really matters! the Education. You don't get fancy football fields or a large indoor gym but those aren't what matters in my child's education. My child gets to learn well, be excited and come home curious everyday. His teachers care and are skilled enough to use good teaching methods. They have a training programme for teachers and use IB pedagogy so its quite good. They also go beyond traditional education with things like character development, coaching and expeditions. Plus, this year they are the top IB school in Malaysia for the DP programme 2 years in a row... their academics quite strong.

Fairview International School is a IB World School certified by IBO. I feel very safe as their name is listed in IBO Website. https://www.ibo.org/programmes/find-an-ib-school/?SearchFields.Region=ibap&SearchFields.Country=MY&SearchFields.Keywords=&SearchFields.Language=&SearchFields.BoardingFacilities=&SearchFields.SchoolGender= The teachers are also certified IB Teachers who are very experienced and caring. One small flaw is the school looks very ordinary from the outside but it is well-compensated by the excellent curriculum and committed teachers they have. Highly recommended school

I've wanting to write a review since I entered my children to this school. I honestly feel that both of son's self confidence increased significantly. They're able to speaks English, play and mingle with other kids without any hesitation. Plus, getting better in Match and Science too.

This will be the first time I'm writing a review. I'm a student here since year 2018. Fairview International School has good amenities. The students are cool as always. But I really love and adore the teachers. There's one day, I forgot to bring my purse and I was feeling super hungry. I didn't tell anyone but my teacher seems like able to 'feel' something. She ask me if I am okay or not. Told her that I did not bring my purse. She gave me RM10 to buy food and didn't even ask me to pay her back. I love you Ms. Y. Thank you.
