Unless you actually go to the school, it is very hard to know what makes it so great. Instead of simply teaching academics, it encourages you to actually be creative. The food is controversial, but i think it is amazing. The teachers are all unique, but most of them are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Sure, village school might just sound like play camp, but, that is what they need. Not hard academics. It is a time when they need to have time, and Chadwick nailed it. Starting from 4th grade, the playing and work starts to balance. Overall, it is an amazing school!!!!

Chadwick International is an amazing school. We learn so much and we are all loyal to one another. We support each other's cultures and beliefs. We follow the IB curriculum which helps students think out of the box. Chadwick teaches students not just to get the answer but also why they could get the answer, how, and why it works. Chadwick broadens student knowledge as well as creativity and imagination. The teachers here will always have your back and will try their best to help you with anything you need. You can trust them and talk to them about anything. They will help in your hard times and will be there whenever you need them. Chadwick has a big sports program. They have friendly compositions with other international schools. Chadwick provides many different sports, such as Soccer/Football, Basketball, tennis, swimming (provides a swimming pool on the school campus), Volleyball, etc. The music and arts program is also an important part of Chadwick as well. They have subjects that supports arts and music but can also take it as a side hobby as well. Chadwick provides Music, Theater, and Visual arts. As the reasons before Chadwick supports not only Culture and beliefs but supports student hobbies and interests. Yes, it might be expensive but it is a good school who helps students in the best way they can.

I'm a student at Chadick International School. But I like being in this school. I like how my teachers teach me and spend time with my friends. I think I will keep on being in this school.

First of all, this school is a IB developed school, having PYP, MYP, and DP curriculums. Second, it has a lot of nationality to learn countries.

The Head of School and the principals say they want to hear parents' concerns, but dialogue goes nowhere. Lots of fluffy answers to placate families, but no actual resolutions on substantive matters. They talk a lot about family and community but the school leaders, staff, and teachers do not mingle with the general community. Administrators make a big deal about transparency but the school operates secretively and oppressively. Academics and programs change all the time depending on the rotation of overpaid consultants the school has hired. Funds would be better spent to build solid programs and boost student learning. The Korean students bully foreign students, especially in the upper school. It's an English language international school, but the predominant language is Korean, to the dismay of local and foreign parents alike. This results in Korean students who aren't fluent in English even after many years of enrollment, and foreign students who often feel excluded in interactions on campus. The school has plenty of high achieving students, but they learned what they know (music, sports and academics) at hagwon, not at Chadwick. Lots of potential here but ultimately, this is an expensive school that fails to deliver the world-class education it promises. If you are considering employment within the school or in the city of Songdo, you should look elsewhere.

Perfect learning institution. I felt really welcomed at this school, as a parent of 6 children, this school really helped all of them.

Best international IB i have ever sent my children to. The best facilities! Massive soccer field, lovely outdoor spaces, and not to mention the pool! All staff work so hard and are so respectful to their students. The students succeed well in life after graduating here, thanks to the amazing college counselling! All four of my children are attending/ attended Chadwick International, and I will never stop recommending it!

Money-hungry school run by people that have no idea about education. They are good at misrepresenting the school so they can attract new teachers, but everyone leaves at the end of their contract. Well, I never felt valued there so I left. Good luck kiddos.

I regret to have kept my kid longer than I should. Especially the elementary school is terrible, starting from the principal, administration, and teachers. Because of this bad administration, good teachers left shortly after if they did not know and made bad decision to come here (high turn over for good teachers). That means all remaining teachers are so so if not too bad. Many expat parents decided to take their kids out or decided rather to home school even they got paid for free tuition by the sponsor companies. Upper school is slightly better but if your kids are not sent to the after school program until 10-11pm like many Korean kids, your kids will be left behind and frustrated as those teachers they don't have to teach the Korean kids since they got from the academy already. I wish Songdo has more schools to consider and to complete as this school thinks we have no other options so they don't think they have to change or improve. Don't send your kids here or you will soon regret.

Overpriced. Here it's all about marketing, not much value other than the brand and the good sport facilities. It might work if you are very rich, but it's definitely not the best school out there. It's just a hip playground for rich Korean kids. The focus is on sports and other trendy activities, not much time is left for real teaching. Academics are not the priority and the results are clear. #Alert! A lot of pressure to donate to their fund. It happens in the fall and parents are pushed to donate to an already very rich school. Korean parents donate out of fear of being left behind and teachers donate to avoid being labeled as uncooperative with the school's mission and face retaliation. Where is that money going? Nobody knows. Dodgy culture overall, and way too much appetite for money.

Such bad administration that is American focused and shows no understanding of other cultures. Head of School is arrogant and privileged and thinks he walks on water. He is completely disconnected and lacks self awareness. There is a talking down to other cultures and jokes about students and parents. Horrible place!

When I joined Chadwick little I knew I was joining a cult. Praise the leaders and deny the reality of the school, that's what's expected of you... The academics are without direction, the school adopts IB but not one of the principals has IB experience. They are either first timers from the US or they came from the greedy for profit schools in Asia. As other people noticed, they just put their label on the hard work made by external cram schools. The amount of manipulation of teachers is insane, no wonder many of them are burned out. With covid it became even worse. The salary is high but they have many ways to bring it down and as a foreigner in Korea you have little to no legal protection in the work place. In 2018 a dozen teachers were deported mid-year because the school failed to take proper care of their visas. The school makes you sign an agreement so you can't criticize them, one when you first sign and additional ones when something hits the fan. Stay away unless you are really desperate and drowning in debt, and avoid any school with admins that worked here. P.s. housing is a big problem too.

Toxic working culture, multiple threats to staff from the admins. Cult-like following of the head of school and great disconnect between the administrators and the teachers. The school has plenty of funds but they are used for non-educational purposes. Don't come as a teacher, if you signed a contract get out asap. Send your kids here only of your company pays for the tuition, otherwise you'll pay big dollars but none of them will go into your children education.

Chadwick International touts itself as being a high-quality education with a diverse student population. I would guess that nearly 90% of their students are Korean. The school's diversity relies on the many Korean students who are dual passport holders. Truly foreign students represent a very small number. The school deceives in website and promotional materials by heavily featuring foreign students. The principals claim they are open to dialogue from parents, yet rarely accept suggestions for change. Korean parents are afraid to voice their opinion for fear that their children will no longer be welcomed. Foreign parents are more vocal but overlooked because the school's primary mission is cultivating Korean students to eventually attend non-Korean universities. The school administrators over-communicate by sending many long messages, but not enough information of substance is conveyed. Parents are required to purchase (expensive) MacBooks and iPads for their children, depending on grade level. The future may be in technology, but it does not mean our children should be tied to their devices for every aspect of learning. Chadwick is overpriced for what we're getting, and the school is not nearly as excellent as the leaders would have you believe. Would not recommend and cannot wait to get my children out of this school.

Poor administration that does not address concerns from international parent community with topics ranging from poor academics, inadvertent isolation of international children when teachers teach to the class majority, inability to adequately address food allergy safety concerns & inability to balance local education demands with international family demands. Beware: Education stats from school are not truly reflective of Chadwick; instead external rigorous cram schools are part of the local culture & has caused friction among international student experience, teachers & families. Your child will be behind if you depend solely on Chadwick to teach them. Be prepared to pay for outside private support just like the locals do or risk your child struggle with major learning gaps when they transition to their next school.

This is a place where you don't hear too muck Korean. Even though people from other countries teach kids, but there are Korean teachers too. There is a subject that you choose ,world languages where you can speak Korean,Mandarin, etc. I personally love this school.
