No other International School in Milan offers more non-core subject offerings than ASM. They have an exceptional fine arts program where students can be involved in band, choir, orchestra, drama, visual arts, guitar, and piano...all as elective subjects during the day. In our research, we found that many international schools here offer only some of these as after-school "pay to participate" activities in addition to tuition. Our son has thrived in the school because at ASM, it's not all about math, science, reading and writing. While those are hugely important, ASM places an equal value on educating the whole child. They have a large counseling/ELL/special services staff to support the social emotional and or special learning needs of students. We can't recommend ASM enough!

They do not meet the need of children with any learning disability. IEPs are not taken seriously. It is also frustrating that they put students that clearly should not be in IB classes in them. I feel there needs to be more flexibility in their teaching style to be able to reach their American students.
