American Academy in Zagreb is a modern high school that builds on the successful tradition of the American Academy network of schools in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The school is located in the Agram Center, one of the most prominent business centers in Zagreb. Our goal is to make the American Academy in Zagreb one of the most advanced and dynamic educational institutions in Croatia. The American Academy concept focuses on developing the academic and practical skills and competencies of each of our students. We offer an international, inspiring, motivating and friendly environment. As in other schools in the American Academy network, all classes at American Academy Zagreb are conducted in English by teachers who are fluent in that language. Once a quarter, instead of regular classes, American Academy students in Zagreb participate in a week-long school project we call “Theme Week”. Our school is designed for students who are looking for a modern educational program that will prepare them for a successful future in the 21st century. Students who graduate from the American Academy receive an American high school diploma, which is equivalent to the diplomas received by high school graduates in the United States. Our graduates can study at universities anywhere in the world, as well as students graduating from IB and British schools.
