The German School Shanghai (DSS) is one of the largest German schools abroad and awarded the seal of approval Excellent German School Abroad by German school authorities. In the metropolis of Shanghai, the Yangpu site provides education at the highest level for over 350 children and adolescents. It is more than just an excellent school - it is a cultural center in which togetherness comes first. Anyone who goes on a journey through the history of the German School Shanghai, must buckle up, because since its opening in 1995 by the newly founded school association German School Shanghai e. V., the learning center has developed rapidly from a tiny classroom with four students to a highly modern and award-winning educational institution. At its two locations in Hongqiao and Yangpu, the school currently offers more than 1,250 children and adolescents from kindergarten to high school a place of learning and togetherness, making it one of the largest German schools abroad. With the move of the Pudong branch office in the school year 2019/20 to the new EuroCampus in Yangpu, the German School Shanghai is once again setting the course for the future.
