In 2009, Tsinghua International School (THIS) Fuzhong Campus was founded to provide courses featuring Western educational philosophy and practice. Our student body includes international students, children of foreigners, and Chinese returning from overseas studies. Located opposite to Yuanming Yuan (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), THIS takes pride in its campus, which is on the grounds of the 100-year-old well-known Tsinghua University High School and surrounded by a strong academic atmosphere. THIS has a primary, middle and high school and our students come from more than 20 countries and regions including the US, UK, and Canada. The curriculum utilized at THIS is based on the US Common Core standards and Chinese culture related courses are also included. The full-English environment contributes to language development in all content as well as social language. In addition, Chinese language and culture is a required core course, that guarantees a strong Chinese level and the exploration of Chinese traditional culture combined with the Tsinghua Spirit. Students of THIS have strong ability in both Chinese and English as well as excellent academic competence. The educational accomplishments of THIS are widely recognized by parents and the greater community. Our graduates successfully received offers from top universities all over the world, including Harvard University, Yale University, Stanford University, Columbia University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Brown University, Cornell University, University of Toronto, Imperial College London, University of London, and Tsinghua University.
